Waltznblak and I are getting married this September 26th. If the child--our first--is a boy, we will name it Bryan; a girl, Eno. And, proving what a true Avalonian I am--despite her rather close ties to PAPTI--I will immediately bow to such intense political pressure* and reinstate her in the competition. However, being her future husband, I do encourage her to use a dictionary--if Bryan WERE reading this, we wouldn't want to disappoint him grammatically, now would we? J *get those tapes to me, Pasi! Hmm. Probably some soul food i.e greens, fried chicken, black eye peas, cornbread, potato salad, peach cobbler or a sweet potatoe pie. Why? Bryan has a love of American culture in particular it's soul/blues music. Since these would be authentic , why not something Southern for the soul. > 2)What music would you play? Otis Redding (natch), Aretha Franklin, Mavis Staples, All the Motown Stuff, Al Green, Bobby Blue Bland, Little Richard, Fontella Bass, John Coltrane, Bille Holiday, James Brown, Here comes the Warm Jets, Another Green World..... > 3)What would you wear? I would invite my friend Angelina and DJ Terri Hemmert (from WXRT) who would both just drool over him. We would talk aboout just about everything. For me,I am always fasciated with the creative process so I would ask him how he went about creating some of his favorite songs. I just hope I would not fall to pieces to have his presence in my apartment. Oh yeah, I would mention to him that this would be the SECOND time he and I had an encounter. I detailed on this list last year my first actual encounter with Bryan after a 1979 concert here in Chicago (Chicago Fans-the Uptown Theatre on the north side before it went to seed (soon to be renovated!!)). He may not have remember the one lone fan who got to him up close and personal in the limo asking him for his autograph. He was not interested and turned away. I have a very vivid memory of that moment in time. I said at the time and it still holds true, I thought he was the WHITEST man I'd ever seen!!!
