If this means anything, Fripp is playing here in Chicago sometime this month at Park West. I wonder will he do Swastiska Girls or the Heavenly Music Corporation? For those of you who don't know the Roxy Music connection to this is, these two songs (sounds?) were some of the first collobations between Frip and Eno. A roommate of mine, turned me on to it in 1984. I have used both as a background for meditation and when as music to listen to while I am flying ( in airplanes that is). After a glass of wine and as the plane is ascending, I put on the tape ( now part of a CD compilation- The Essential Fripp and Eno) and "take off". There is nothing like looking out at the clouds and listening to the Heavenly Music Corporation! Hey-there is life out on this list after an extended drought. I bought this album very soon after Eno's split of Roxy and his solo album 'Here Comes The Warm Jet'. At the record shop they told me of this collaboration, I'd never knew before. While listening to this Heavenly Music, I was totaly lost! This was something completely different than HCTWJ. At home I couldn't stop listening, so I decided to tape it on cassette and put the machine on 'endless-play'. It lasted until mid 80ties, when first saw Fripp while he toured with David Sylvian. Which is a cool collaboration too. Anyway, I very much use the tape (5th copy already as tape quality improved through the time) when I had a busy working day and only through headphones. see you in Heaven! (...is there a Heaven?) Go early if you go, I was ther 15 minutes before the show started and he was already playing. An excellent show and there is a question and answer period afterwards. Fripp mentioned that he was one of the few people who has heard Bryan Ferry sing 21st Century Schizoid Man. He said that although he didn't think Ferry was right for King Crimson he did recommend him to his managent company.
