Maybe this will generate at least a friendly flaming or two. Fripp is doing a solo show here in Milwaukee this coming sunday night at 8pm at Shank Hall. And the sick part is that I only heard about it today. I'll have to get tickets. It's one of my favourites of Roxy, so I was eager to hear it. It sounds quite good to me, even though I don't like Bowie at all. To my horror there was absolutely no reference anywhere to Ferry whatsoever! Is Bowie afraid that his followers might find out that it is actually Ferry who wrote the song? Does anyone know what the reason behind this is? > Pim. > I have that tape(cassette not the CD) and never noticed that the credit was missing. I think you are wrong in your assertion that Bowie is ashamed to let his fans (me included) know who wrote it. Bowie was/is a big supporter of Roxy and Bryan. David and Bryan are friends. You should check your Roxy history on this one. I think it was way cool for Bowie to even try to cover Bryan. In fact I wish that Bowie would cover other Roxy songs such as I don't know...In Every Dream Home a Heartache. When Bryan does his next set of "covers",he should return the favor. There have been many discussions on this list about Bowie/Roxy, well it least to be. Anyway that's my two cents for now.....
