I have "Silk Circles" on tape, which is the same show but sounds a lot better. Has "silk Circles" been put out on CD? Does anyone know the story behind the different versions? I think that "Why Do You Think I'm A Funky Chicken" (!) is the same show too. - -- Peter Dewey - -------------------- To unsub, mail majordomo@smoe.org with: unsubscribe avalon ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 28 Sep 1997 16:04:18 -0400 From: kathleen Subject: [AVALON] Roxy Live Um, it's "chick", not "chicken." I think > that "Why Do You Think I'm A Funky Chicken" (!) is the same show too. > They are indeed the same show, but I haven`t heard the "For Europeans" version. How is the quality, Peter? If anyone is considering picking up this fine show, please be forewarned that the "Funky Chic" CD version is lousy quality, at least the version I heard, and that goes for the LP version as well. The CD I heard was recorded directly from the absolute worst LP they could find. It`s full of pops and clicks and the "For Your Pleasure" track was completely ruined by skips throughout the song and even into Diamond Head. (those crazy bootleggers, you just gotta love 'em) As far as "Silk Circles" on CD, I`ve never seen it offered in any way other than LP. It`s still readily available through venders in "Goldmine", and relatively inexpensive. I picked up a sealed copy for $30 less than a year ago. If you come across it, get it. It`s a keeper. - -------------------- To unsub, mail majordomo@smoe.org with: unsubscribe avalon ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 28 Sep 1997 19:17:34 -0400 (EDT) From: RobertD982@aol.com Subject: Re: [AVALON] Roxy Live Congrats n best wishes to fella roxyphile lurkr- poe1527 - on his newbron son - - OTIS- duh- where'd he get dat from?
