I've read that Richard Tee played keyboards on "Dance Away." Can anybody confirm & do you know why he got no album credit? Were there any other uncredited performers on the album? I saw in cdnow's forthcoming release list an album by Phil Manzanera called "A Million Reasons Why". Of course this is a song off of "Southern Cross". So what is this thing? A live album? A new album? Another Compilation? With "the Manzanera Collection" and "Guitarissimo", I would think that realm is covered pretty well. Actually it seems to be a re-release of "Southern Cross" w/the 4 live "Guitar Legends" tracks off of the "Manzanera Collection" tacked onto the beginning. It's on Blueprint, the same folks that did the Quiet Sun reissue last year. Just in case anyone is listening "HEY PHIL, IT"S TIME FOR A NEW ALBUM!!!" You too Bryan. But we already knew that. Also, I just picked up a promo copy of the soundtrack to Wim Wenders new movie "The End of Violence". Pretty impressive line up-Tom Waits, Ry Cooder, Los Lobos, Latin Playboys, U2 and Sinead O'Connor, Michael Stipe and Vic Chestnutt, Spain, DJ Shadow, Martin, Medeski and Wood, and the kicker--Roy Orbison produced by Brian Eno. I am not making this up. It has an executive producer credit to Barbara Orbison, so apparently she let BE polish off an unfinished Orbison track. Only heard it once so i have no real opinion as of yet. As a whole the soundtrack is highly recommended though, although I'm not sure it is out yet. If you check out the liner notes on the Roxy box set, "The Thrill Of It All", it lists Rick Marotta, and Steve Ferrone (drums), Richard Tee (piano) and Luther Vandross (vocals).
