I kinda feel the same way. No one put me onto Poe. I feel like I 'discovered' her myself. Heard "Anmgry Johnny" on the radio and decided to track down this artist and her music. I love getting new people into her and discovering other Angry Psychos out there. I feel almost teritorial ove rher a bit LOL since she's "mine" :) - -B. "Friends help you move. What's going on? People are actually conversing on this mail group? We have a new member? Awesome! I've loved Poe ever since I heard "Angry Johnny" on the airwaves back in `06, back when local stations here actually played her! Grrrrr >=( I've been in love with her since. Good to see some activity on the boards. Be sure to check out her authentic MySpace page! *falls back asleep* ~D - -------------- Original message -------------- From: Carey101C@aol.com > > I discovered Poe about 6 yrs ago, picked up "Haunted" for a > dollar at a flea market....WOW! My sister picked up Hello at a used cd store when I was still in elementary school and I grew up listening to it to go to sleep at night and mumbling the words to myself. When I got into middle school I saw Haunted in a Columbia House catalog and had my sister get it for me. I picked up a lot of b-side tracks through the wonderful people of Poeland --who have been brutally forced over to a new chat site now because of the evil spambots-- and used to frequent that board for a while. I certainly like Hello more than Haunted, unless I'm thinking about House of Leaves. I like that those songs on Hello can exist by themselves and that I don't have to listen to the entire album to get the full impact of the cd. I really wish Poeland could be saved, there's still spam posted there most every day and the moderators have abandoned it. But even more than that I'd love Poe herself to resurface and tell us what's going on, and if there is a third album that we can anxiously wait for instead of anxiously waiting for nothing in particular. <3 Erin _________________________________________________________________ Hotmail to go?
