The "Jane" of  "Jane Says" didn't have a last name. 
She could have been credited as Anne Daniewski.  I
just believe that she chose "Jane" as opposed to
saying "I don't want my name used" and C1 tagging the
songs with "Jane (Doe)"

Unless you are arguing that that the singer is NOT our
mistress of groove.  Therefore, I'd say you're just
being "Xeno".
