A local radio station here in Atlanta (99X) is asking its listeners to call up with their opinions and suggestions. They have a voicemail box set up to record the calls. They have already made changes to their program in that they are playing a lot more of 90's Alternative than they used to, after the initial introduction of having callers call up with suggestions in what they could do better. The program director, Chris Williams started all of this. So I figure this is a perfect opportunity for all of us AP's to call up and say: "You guys would be so much better in you played POE!" or something to that effect. I heard "Angry Johnny" way back when it first came out on 99X, they played both versions of "Hey Pretty" for a *very* short period of time. They almost never play her anymore, except maybe on Sunday evenings and even then rarely. I know I've never heard them play her since '01. So call up, say whatever you wish but at least try to make it sound like you're an active listener even if you're not lest they ignore the call completely. The mailbox may be full, so keep trying!
