Hmmm, actually the song has very large vampire like over tone, which of course does not rule out record label executives unfortunately. I mean the whole "they stab it with their steely knifes but they just can't kill the beast." is pretty obvious. However if you look into any song, you can go looking for just about any metaphor. My favorite P+e song for that is "Strange wind" one day I hope to ask P+E what she was thinking when she wrote that. =) Marshall Pierce ITCS IFAS IT University of Florida (352) 846-1832 "The ability to hear the truth, is not as important as accepting it." I've pulled it off the old backups of poe.navelsex.com and made it available (http://poe.navelsex.com) Below is the textfile explaining it. Lisa, if you come up with something different, I'd love to get a copy of it to put up there as well. :) I've also posted copies of Anything (as was requested too long ago.) Sorry about the delay. Life gets hectic, and the summer makes you want to go outside instead of dig through CDs. :) I've also posted the full .shn copy of "Heavenly Poe" since it had one of the copies of Anything on it. so, go download, use the bandwidth I'm paying for anyways. :) Thanks to Notajunkie and ShellE productions for the two contributions. :) Be on the lookout, we may have some new stuff coming in soon as well. :) Also, thanks for posting Poe! it's great to hear from ya! Oh yeah, the textfile.. here it is: ********************************************************************** Taken from the binary codes on the inside cover of the Hard Cover version of "House of Leaves" this is the sound file that it formed. What I did, was scan the pages of the book, convert them into text using an OCR program, and then brought them into WinHex. From there I made it into an .aif file. But keep in mind that because of the process I used, the file might not be perfect, but I tried my best at this time. If anyone has ideas as to what the sound is, or what it could be, send me an e-mail. Thanks. :) Notajunkie Notajunkie@hotmail.com AOL IM: Notajunkie P.S. Just to help try to solve the mystery of this sound, I played it backwards, but it doesn't sound much different. The sound played backwards is also posted. ********************************************************************** On Tue, 2003-09-09 at 18:08, Lisa Breno wrote: > hey has anyone programmed the code in the back of the book? i started > working on it today and wondered how many other psychos have tried it. back > to lurking until i finish it or throw my computer out the window... > > Lisa > > > on another note, i love hotel california and hearing from poe made my day! > > _________________________________________________________________ > Fast, faster, fastest: Upgrade to Cable or DSL today! > https://broadband.msn.com - -- - -Ed - -Divinity http://ed.hunsinger.org ------------------------------ End of angry-psychos-digest V8 #192 ***********************************
