I picked it up at Sam Goody yesterday. While I think $7 is a little much for 3 remixes (they didn't even put the original on it), it was good. And I know at least 50 cents of that went to Conjure One, and Poe must be getting at least a dime out of it in royalties... Anyway, I went to the Vancouver BC show of Conjure One & Delerium. IT was AWESOME. Conjure One played a really short set though. The vocalist was really good though, she has a strong voice. I don't know who it was... They did Center of the Sun, and Poe's version is better, but it was nice to hear. The vocalist tried to mimic the respective singer's style in each song. She tried to do Poe in Center of the Sun, and she tried to do Sinead O'Connor in Tears from the Moon. It was good. Delerium, though, was awesome. I'm so glad I went to the concert. Plus, the two vocalists... they were HOT. Holy crap... anyway, they ended with Silence, which was so great... the only way it could have been better would have been if Sarah McLachlan was there... we had to leave before the encore, because we drove up from Seattle to be there. Seattle's show was 21+, and we were 19, so we had to drive 2 hours up to Canada to see it! But it was worth it. - -Michael _________________________________________________________________ Send and receive larger attachments with Hotmail Extra Storage. http://join.msn.com/?PAGE=features/es ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 5 Sep 2003 14:21:26 -0700 (PDT) From: D G Subject: Re: NPR: 9/11/01 Timeline... The most complete! This page is NOT "historical." It takes snippets of stories (some from reputable sources, some from unnamed sources, and some from disreputable sources) and spins them together to lend support to absurd conjectures and conspiracy theories. The AGENDA of this page is not to provide a historical account but rather to somehow legitimize the distorted belief that 9/11 was an American or Jewish conspiracy. Maybe Elvis, following a plot devised by Hitler's nefarious, preserved brain, and enlisting the help of the same aliens that abducted Moulder's sister, hijacked the planes and crashed them into the WTC. The sort of misinformation on pages like this, especially when unsuspecting readers are fooled into thinking it is "historical," is dangerous because it helps fuel the twisted, hateful mindset of terrorists and lends a spurious air of credibility to their antisemitism and anti-Americanism. If you buy into that chain of logic, I have some even MORE startling news. Arnold Schwarzenegger, as we all know, was born in Austria. His father, Gustov Shwarzenegger, was a member of the NAZI party who volunteered for the Sturmabteilung, the notorious SA stormtroopers. Now Arnold, the son of pappa nazi, used to take steroids. As we all know from public service commercials, all drug money supports terrorism and steroids are a drug. Now this Nazi, terrorist supporting Schwarzenegger is running for GOVERNOR of California! He has also made movies about the destruction of mankind! Scared yet? The 9/11 conspiracy crap is just as stupid. CNN and FOX are NOT in the business of covering up government conspiracy in case you haven't noticed. They absolutely delight in breaking any conspiracy or scandal. The US press broke the Watergate scandal. They published the Pentagon Papers! Attack plans, Clinton sex stuff, classified documents- they don't care... if they get their hands on it they publish it. They care about ratings, not protecting the presidency or the government. So yes, I DO buy their version of 9/11. Not even Osama Bin Laden claimed that 9/11 was a US conspiracy- he claimed credit for the attack. If your allegation is that the US is in cahoots with Osama, why did President Clinton launch those missiles at the aspirin factory in Afghanistan to try to kill him? To make the conspiracy reeeeaaaaally convincing? You are obviously so blinded by your hatred of the US and of President Bush that you are willing to cling to any moronic theory by which we were the bad guys- rest assured if there was even a HINT out there that the United States, the administration, or the intelligence agencies were somehow responsible for 9/11 it WOULD be on CNN- oh lemme guess... the American press is run by Jews, so the press is in on the conspiracy too, right? You really need to start living in reality. The most complete! That's fine- you have every right to criticize the president. I don't have a problem with that. If you hate his policies or think he's stupid, greedy, corrupt, or illegitimately elected because of the Florida ballots, by all means express your opinions freely. But hating Bush is not an excuse for ignoring reality and suggesting, based on no facts whatsoever (I read the timeline page and it is full of misquotes and conclusions that do not follow from the evidence), that the US orchestrated 9/11. That is the same sort of anti-American hate propoganda that is used to recruit more terrorists. A large percentage of Muslims actually BELIEVE that thousands of Jews were warned in advance of 9/11 and stayed home from work in the World Trade Center that day. While you definitely have a right to free expression and to spout whatever lies you choose, I have a right to point out that what you are saying is hurtful and STUPID, unsupported by any real evidence.
