Almost anybody who spends money via the net has a PayPal account... So I thought I'd take a moment to warn you about a very REAL looking document that will show up in your mail just as sure as the latest "MSN Security Patch" will... The supposed PayPal e-mail will have all the familiar logos, and the look of the PayPal site. Here is the text that came with my copy... Dear PayPal Customer This e-mail is the notification of recent innovations taken by PayPal to detect inactive customers and non-functioning mailboxes. The inactive customers are subject to restriction and removal in the next 3 months. Please confirm your email address and credit card information by logging in to your PayPal account using the form below: Email Address: Password: Full Name: Credit Card #: Exp.Date(mm/yyyy): ATM PIN (For Bank Verification) #: I took the time to contact PayPal about this... Just as sure as people still get viruses because the open stuff they should not, it makes me cringe to think of the damage that is going to happen to those who fall for this scam.... Here is some info from the REAL PayPal PayPal and its representatives will NEVER ask you to reveal your password. There are NO EXCEPTIONS to this policy.
