The tickets would be sold online exclusivly, and to Registered Ap members only. There would be no phyiscal ticket sales, only those through some system, if not a free show privatly funded, as suggested earlier. and then, the door would require some sort of AP ID, you would mail your name and theyd have it organized, and start letting people in really early, that way it would be for ap's and by ap's starring poe....i dunno, this would be up to the Ancient APs (jarrod? i think he used to be in charge of the 'guest' lists back in 97) as oppossed to angie or whomever, to determine how this would occur, unluss annie is tight on her managment making the arangments, if theyd even want anything to do with it. any thoughts? post up or email me privatly, im thinking about putting this post and the last one up once a weel untill something starts happening. any thoughts on how to do the petition thing? anyone running the AP site willing to set something like that up specifically for this task? any idea of a decent date for POE-CON (poe convention) dates? help us all get busy peace - -M p.s.-is this street teaming or street fanclubbing :-D ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 03 Apr 2003 07:19:08 +0000 From: "Anthony J Hoffmann" Subject: Lennon / Drain STH Lennon: Well the new album is basically finished, but they're thinking of doing one more song. Don't worry, I haven't gone any where. There is no way I can begin to tell you all that has transpired since the last tour ended. All in due time. I do have words for you on the current political situation...and I have much more too. I feel nothing but an astonishing gratitude toward all of you who have been so patient. I have no intention of letting you down. Soon (but not immediately--really good things can't be rushed!) I am going to be able to include all of you in my future plans. Any of you interested in coming on an adventure are invited. You can think of me as a Psycho Sterwardess hijacking the music industry. (Don't worry, no plans to fly the music business into a building...simply land--at least a bit of it--in a better place) ....things are changing fast, way off the beaten path... You guys Rule and I love you more than you know! This world will survive and so will we. xoxo Poe *Psychos Forever* p.s. As for this war...I am neither for nor against it. What I am against are the mechanisms within human nature that bring Wars about. War's are inevitable and will continue to be until us human's (one at a time) find a way to transcend fear. At the end of the day, fear is what drives people to kill. Ironically, each and every one of us are no closer or further away from death than we always were 2 years ago. A soldier in Iraq may come home safely, while a kid in Rhode Island is burned to death on an ordinary night out. How you choose to live with that knowledge is ultimately what makes you who you are. I remember reading an interview years ago with a guy that was dying of AIDS. Someone asked him how he was dealing with the knowledge that he didn't have long to live and his response was..."I only wish I had lived my whole life this way!" I took that to mean that when he could no longer pretend that death would never happen TO HIM, his priorities changed, and what really mattered was suddenly crystal clear. Power is about death. I want to be powerful enough to kill you before you kill me. War is about power, nothing else. Personally I would like sentence both George Bush and Hussein to the following torture: They should be locked in a room for one year with Chris Rock, the Beatles, and a mountain of weed. (*Incidentally, I'm not much of a pot smoker myself...makes me sleepy and plus I like remembering things...you guys for instance...but in the case of our world leaders I think there's alot they should absolutely forget!) Well that's it for now. If you knew you that a nuclear war head was going to land on your head 7 hours from now, what would you do with those 7 hours? Well go do it then! xoxo P. ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 3 Apr 2003 10:56:03 -0500 (EST) From: Derek Subject: PR: BIG Screw up Well, thanks to Tony, who just informed me that I sent out POE's personal e-mail to the list, I think I just committed a hell of a blunder. There is a store out there called: Panpipes Magickal Marketplace. I would strongly advise against doing *ANY* business with them as, in my experience they are extremely unprofessional and unreliable. I ordered a statue back in January, I was informed it wouldn't be in until March. Fine. I e-mailed mid-march and inquired about it, I was told that her supplier told her to e-mail closer to the 15th, and she'd let me know. Fine. Keep in mind she had ALREADY CHARGED ME back in January. March 31st, no word from her, I e-mail HER AGAIN (notice how I've initiated contact here) telling her that unless she can give me a definitive date it will be in I will have to ask for a refund. She e-mails back, claims being out with the flu for two weeks, and it won't be in until *sometime* in April...I tell her I would like refund as I feel I've waited beyond a reasonable period of time, and considering she had already charged me, I was unwilling to wait any longer. She e-mails back saying "Done - but don't act sanctimonious as you were advised" !!! I e-mail her back saying that was uncalled for and unprofessional, and she had not only lost a sale due to her supplier, but her lack of customer service and poor attitude has cost her several customers. She e-mails back with: "Yawn..and your e-mail addy is banned for rudeness" WTF???!!! This is my experience, and I wanted to warn my fellow psychos (especially the pagan ones who are more likely to do business with her) against doing business with this lady. I can't tell exactly how long because a couple of times my inbox was full or my pop account was a mess and I started bouncing and had to resubscribe. But it's been about that long for me. I feel ashamed to say that I've been an Angry Psycho (in the sense, a poe fan, even if I didn't participate with other psychos) for only a little over two years now. The pain that I get from thinking that Poe had been out there much longer than that making this beautiful music is shrill. But I'll live. She hooked me a little over two years ago (fall of 2000), and even if it hasn't been that long, forever I am a devoted fan. So with that aside, here's my general introductions. My name is Bunny, I am a 17 year old female whom lives in southern Florida (I like to call refer to it as Humid Hell). I have many interests, but my first love in life is music. Not only do I love listening to music, but my dream and fascination lies within creating it. Using music as a tool to express myself. Poe is everything that I want to be in terms of a female artist. I never was extremely fond of 'alternative female artists', such as those found on the lilith fair. Didn't mean that I don't like artists such as Sarah McLachlan or Liz Phair, but that's just not how I saw myself as a female artist. I did admire Tori Amos for her harder edge, but still, she was a bit soft in the middle. Little Earthquakes is still one of my favorite albums, though. Poe, however, showed me a new side of how a woman can make music without being so hard as to going into the Drain STH or Kittie metal scene, but not as soft as to follow with the women who produce beautiful piano ballads and soft rock. She was a perfect meet in the middle, with lyrics that dug down into my soul and grooved me hard. Her rhythm, her genius and her flair made me a fan. And after reading House of Leave, getting to know her brother a bit more, as well as her own personal history, she has become my personal hero. Peggy Lee was my female idol in music for the longest time until she passed away last year. But I have easily filled that position with Poe. She inspires me in every way imaginable, both musically and emotionally. The album Hello made me groove and be a bit more carefree about life. Haunted helped me cope with my own personal hell inside and give me strength. Poe herself has been someone that I can admire throughout all of these times. To her, I say 'Thank You'. - -Bunny :: bunnychan.com :: ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 3 Apr 2003 16:35:12 EST From: KoiJamas@aol.com Subject: Re: NPR remy zero I watch teeny bopper shows and the WB network loves Remy Zero.
