A good CD only comes along once in a while. One that you can't seem to get out of the CD player. You wake up in the morning and think, yes!, I really want to hear that CD. It somehow makes your life a little better. I was that way with Haunted and I am that way with Evanesence "Fallen". Just as with Haunted I love every track on the CD and can not keep it out of the CD player. I have two copies one for home and one for the road. Just thought I'd share... I love to convert new MSI fans, and I'm sure there are some people on this list that WOULD appreciate them, but it's probably a small sliver, and I don't want to cram them down everyones throats as if Poe and MSI go hand in hand. Both the boxed set, the HOL movie and the information about Evanescence were both continuations of a long line of AP APril Fools misinformation. However Ed doesn't realize how close he came to some information that will be coming out soon. The Atlantic contract is a done deal...there never WAS an Atlantic contract with Poe other then for some production work. The Atlantic contract was between Atlantic and Paul Fishkin, Fishkin Entertainment, Inc. ( formerly Modern Records.) Litigation resulted from Atlantic defaulting on that contract. As part of the settlement negotiations Atlantic continues to have exclusive distribution rights to both Haunted and Hello until the end of September. At that time control and ownership of the Masters belongs to Fishkin Entertainment. Paul has indicated that it there are a number of possibilities as to what will happen in September, based on the music industry at the time, what is happening with current events at the time, and certainly, based on Poe's inclination to support her own music. There are a number of possibilities. At this point it looks like Hello will be remastered and re-released. That would allow singles to be pushed for airplay from Hello again, as well as a renewed ( or, some would argue, the beginning of a LONG overdue) marketing push for airplay for Haunted. One of the likely things that would happen is the Band version of Hello replacing the CD version. Other possibilities are being explored. Poe does have new music laid down, some very close to being ready to press. She has a contract with FEI for three additional CDs and a major label has been courting Poe for more then a year for the distribution of past and new material. Paul feels that this distribution, promotion and tour deal being offered are very well tailored to Poe's needs now and into the foreseeable future. Negotiations have been stalled for some time, but over the last 30-60 days there is reason for renewed optimism, I can't say more then that right now. Keep in mind, Poe does not NEED a new label, she already HAS a label contract and she is obligated for 3 more CDs under that contract. Her label is FEI. It is a promotions and distribution contract that she lacks and a GREAT offer is on the table by someone well known to the APS and a great fan of Poe's. He also happens to be one of the most powerful men in the music industry over the last 20 years. The talk is being renewed by FEI of the DVD that was in the works when 9/11 changed the world. All of Poe's concerts were recorded directly from the sound boards and there was extensive digital video shot by Holly and Brian ( Poe's engineer at the time.) A live performance release, be it CD or DVD is being considered seriously. More to follow as it becomes available and releasable. ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 2 Apr 2003 16:57:31 EST From: Dan98908@aol.com Subject: Where is Poe???
