I am James Kratzke, I'm from East Hartford, CT. I am 18yrs old. One day my sister pulled me into her room and sat me down while she told me to listen to this "trippy" song on the radio. She had me close my eyes and just imagine. I fell in love with the song, I thought it was sexy, seductive, and alluring. My sister informed me that it was Poe, and the song was Hey Pretty. After that, I tried to find it on the radio again to record it for myself. Then one day I saw her video on MTV and I fell in love with her right there. Her sex appeal and charm was inescapable. She had me there and still does. I find her, her music, and the whole air about her intriguing. I just recently found Poe.org and this. About 2 weeks ago I bought her old album, Hello. It took a little while to grow on me. But now I am in love with Hello and Angry Johnny!!! I also love her new stuff on Conjure One! She's amazing and I think you all would agree. Well, my music taste is still expanding. I listen to different genres and many different artists. I love classical, hiphop, pop, rock. Anything that is catchy, melancholy, dreamy, seductive! I have a question about Angry Johnny. Does anyone know for certain what it is about? Sex? Murder? A mix of both? I am confused, you could read it either way. I personally think it's about this guy she was dangerously attracted to. And she was bottled up with emotions of sexual frustration and an urge to kill him; like I said dangerously attracted to. I don't know, am I close? Please if someone does know for sure, give me some insight. Seductive slaying of the soul. Welcome welcome welcome! And I dont think you need any insight, you seem to have plenty of it of your own. Alot of times I think the songs relate to different people different ways, so If you see it as some fella she was dangerously attracted to, then thats it for you. To know for certain what it was written about and what was going through her head and life at the time of it, would be a question I think only she can really answer. Nice to meetcha, I'm amanda...Good listening to ya! - ----- Original Message ----- From: To: Sent: Tuesday, March 04, 2003 6:50 PM Subject: I am new!!! > > I am James Kratzke, I'm from East Hartford, CT.
