The first part of the trip I get a ticket for speeding, the officer was nice enough to reduce the speed on the ticket though. Anyway, we go along and there is just construction all over the place, so we're constantly having to stop, slow down, something. (good thing we left plenty early) Well, we get to one of these frequent stops (Mile marker 248.2 on I-65, to be exact) and we stop the caddy behind us stops, I look down... BAM the caddy is launched into us by a honda, A HONDA. It skidds for 20ft before it hits the caddy, knocks the caddy 45-50ft into us. He wasn't holding his breaks when the honda hit him, but still. We lose an hour there, but realize that we gained an hour going east, so I guess it works out, right? We get that taken care of and continue on (with bent bumber) We get to our friends house, go out to eat, and realize, we're going to be dealing with Chi-town traffic, so we better leave. We find the venue, it's about 8:07, show starts at 8:00. We get there and someone forgot to notify the webmaster of the club site, and ticketmaster, because the tickets are sold out... So we're outside by the windows trying to hear the show over the road noise. We hear parts, but nothing great. Right after she announces her last song, they let people in in place of the people who didn't show, they have to pay of course. WE didn't feel it was necessary to buy a ticket since Bree, who we came to see, was about over. Like all other shows, we wait for said artist, to get an auto, maybe even a picture, and this guy walks out talking on his cell. He saying yeah Bree said she'll play the show, and we were all ears after that. Turns out, it's her manager. So we tell him the tale of woe, and he gets us on the guest list, so we can at least say hi. It's an acoustic show, so we don't want to get too loud, and we just get the CD's signed. We ask the manager if we can get some pictures, after the show, and he said sure. We stand through the G.P. show, and after it ends, we finally get to talk with Bree, he's already filled her in on our trip, and we fill in the details. She feels sorry for us, and said she'll play a couple of songs for us since we missed the show. Basically, we agreed. We got to take some photos, and talk some more, so that was cool. Thankfully nothing else happened after the show, we had to drive back to get to work at 7:00am the next day though, yeah that sucked... What I'm saying is check her out, she's very cool, and the music is unbelievable!!! http://www.breesharp.com Anthony Hopefully I'll have the pics up on my site soon - -http://www.geocities.com/ajhoff55 "si pacem vis habere para bellum" - Constantine "If You Want Peace, Be Ready For War" _________________________________________________________________ Chat with friends online, try MSN Messenger: http://messenger.msn.com ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 19 Sep 2002 23:32:24 EDT From: CtProse10@aol.com Subject: Lakeville NPR NPR Everytime i go to my website, i see lots of guests lurking at the forums... if those lurkers are u angry psychos, join the conversation, let us know a little bit about yourselves, enjoy a piece of the pie... well, i must be off happy landings all the best regards - -Christopher ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 20 Sep 2002 00:25:53 -0400 From: JSens70632@aol.com Subject: Re: Bree Sharp *NPR* (Long story) wow, that sounds like some adventure you had...bree sharp is awesome! jessica ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 20 Sep 2002 00:57:41 -0400 From: AMCFLND1@aol.com Subject: Re: Bree Sharp *NPR* (Long story) In a message dated Thu, 19 Sep 2002 11:25:53 PM Eastern Standard Time, JSens70632@aol.com writes: > >wow, that sounds like some adventure you had...bree sharp is awesome! > jessica > I'm so thrilled someone mentioned Bree on this list. She's New York based, so I've seen her at least a dozen or so times . . . While you're at it, you should check out the music of her guitarist, Don Dilego. He has a great cd out . . . ~ Sara ------------------------------ End of angry-psychos-digest V7 #266 ***********************************
