A great resource for all kitty problems is Anitra Fraiser's The New
Natural Cat - can't do without it. It has a great section on all sorts
of health ailments. She suggests that your kitty's behavior could be a
sign of parasites - they may not be visible. Perhaps a call to the vet?

My dog did that about a year or two ago. We thought she may have had worms,
if it isn't visible on her check her feces, that's where you might find the
parasites. Also, he may have went to the bathroom and some of it may have,
um, remained on his rear-end if you wanna get detailed about it. ;) Your best
bet is to go to the vet, just to get him checked out. It's nothing bad,
though... I'm sure.

I know female humans rub their butt on the carpet when they are horny, so you
are probably right:-)

The only real thing that would be causing the cat to do this would be worms
or some parasite. You may not see them, but your cat knows they're there.
Get some dewormer to give to him. Better safe than sorry.

Thanks AP's! I stayed up all last night looking at sites with info on this
type of behavior to no avail. These cats are lucky to be alive. A few months
back the other one couldn't urinate and it cost $450 to fix him! I swear if my
pregnant wife wasn't there when the vet told us how much it would cost I would
have had him put down. But with her crying I couldn't do it, damn emotions. I
called the vet and of course they couldn't say over the phone with out looking
at him first, which will cost me $35. After these animals I'll settle for a
fake cat, inflatable.

Over the past few years I've asked questions here and have always gotten
answer quickly. I like that. That's one of the things that make this list
great. We have people from all different backgrounds and careers that can
help. What was it, 2 weeks ago, someone asked a computer question and got
answers, nevermind the arguments that followed. I ask about my cat and got
some good advise. I forget who but one of the AP's forwarded it to their
mother (I think) and she's a vet. I got some good advise. My point is despite
the bickering and fighting this forum is a valuable resource that I'm glad to
be a part of.

That's curious...wunner how that happens? ;)

Seriously, I cook chicken stew for my kitter kats. Ya outta see them
chow on peas and green
beans. They love broccoli, too.
