I finally got to see and hear Cameron Stone and p+E perform That Day. I have heard it performed on the Whisky radio show, but to see it makes it even more special. I cannot begin to describe how it made me feel. It was stunning!!! Seeing her perform That Day with Cameron brought it to life for me. It's an incredible song! I did hear p+E tell someone after the show that she would release How Long. That would be really nice because I had only heard it a few times before the show and the audio I had wasn't all that great. I ended up deleting it by mistake, so I couldn't even tell you any of the words. I did love hearing her do it live. I would love to have an official copy of that song. I loved Angry Johnny and Trigger Happy Jack. I always love those songs!!! I love the fan interaction. It's neat! She ended with Beautiful Girl. I knew she would pull some girls onstage and when Rachel was pulled, I was happy for her. I had NO idea p+E would pull me up as well. I was stunned and thrilled. It was an honor being onstage with those girls and p+E. That song has more meaning for me now. It was an awesome night! Hearing p+E tell us that she was supposed to be on Flight 11 gave me goosebumps. I am soooooooo glad that she called her mom and went to New York. I don't even want to think about what could have happened. It still bothers me. I really enjoyed sitting on the blacktop in the parking lot talking to p+E and the other APs. I had heard that p+E has an incredible memory. She does! She described our meeting last year in Salt Lake City. She is such an incredibly giving performer. She takes time to talk to each and every fan and she makes you feel special. She makes you feel like you matter. How many other performers do that? Whoa. The 23rd, in addition to being Poe's birthday, will be my 18th birthday. As if I didn't have enough incentive to go before... I'm really gonna have to see what I can do about getting to this thing, :). It sounds really great, and a big *hug* and a thank you go out to everyone who is helping to make it possible. I've been sitting back and just checking for news on my favorite artist, and not really paying any attention to the dysfunction and drama on this list. I thought I'd say something though in regards to meeting POE though.. I don't know what all this crap about "being on the in" is about, but what worked for me was raising my hand at a concert when POE asked a question, being lucky enough to have her notice me and have me come on stage, and waiting around after the concert to have her sign a tee-shirt for me. And she actually remembered my name. I'm not 'on the in' or whatever you wanna call it. I'm simply a POE fan who cares really only about news about when he will get a chance to see her again (CA is too far for me!). All the rest of this crap I don't care too much about. Not enough time (or caring) for me to get embroiled in drama with people who are little more than an e-mail addy to me. So keep loving POE, keep the news coming, and all of you who haven't met POE yet, don't let this 'on the in" or name calling crap fool you. POE (thankfully) is beyond the drama and pseudo-politics created here and will want to meet and talk to you because you are a fan. And chances are she'll even remember your name! I was thinking how cool the Poe ball looked, and I could totally see it on a tootsie roll pop. The pop could have the wrapper designed like the cover of her first album, and it around the wrapper it could say, "I want to blow you....away." There are so many neat little round things you could make into cool Poe memorablia. By the way, for those who are wondering about my quote below, it is what my actual Algebra 2 teacher said last year among many other strange things that have passed his lips. Naaaaaaah When I was in 10th grade, I wouldn't go out with this guy, and he spread around the entire school that I was a lesbian, and I told everyone what an asshole he was, and I still don't like him, and if I ever saw him the the street I'd give him a nasty look and be really rude to him. Sound familiar? No, it's not high school regression, folks, it's the AP mailing list. Ok, so normally, I'm a lurker, and I know that probably by sending this e-mail I'm just stirring up another flame war, etc., but I've sat through...geez, it must be months of this now...and I finally had to open my big mouth. How old are we people?? Not that I'm all that mature myself, and I have agreed/disagreed with some of the e-mails flying around, but I don't want this to get like it was when I was at school again. If I didn't check my e-mail for a week, I would have over 200 e-mails in my inbox, a few junk mail, but mostly flame-wars from the AP list. I understand conflict makes the world go round, but this is ridiculous! If I had wanted to deal with high school bullshit, I would have stayed in high school. The reason we're all on this list is because we all love Poe. As much as I can't stand the pop scene, I'll bet the Britney Spears mailing list (if such a thing exists...which it probably does) doesn't go through half the fighting the APs do, and that's mostly 12 year old girls on that list (I apologize in advance to any Britney Spears fans, but she's just not my thing). So anywho, build your bridges, get over them...and then burn them behind you. ~Cara P.S. for any of you who care, yes, the opening story is true, only I only I don't give 2 shits about the kid who started the rumor...Life's got enough shit, why focus on the little things? ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 26 Aug 2002 23:54:52 -0400 From: "Andrea E.
