Low time no write huh? What are you doing this weekend, I need some ideas. All I have planned it to drink, play with my baby son and mow the grass, oh and wash my truck. I'd like to be doing something more interesting (though playing with my son is the best). I saw Scooby Doo the other day, nice movie. What movies have you all been watching? Zwan is Billy and Jimmy and a couple of new guys. They're really good, and I wouldn't say they're RADICALLY different, but the difference is noticable. I haven't had the chance to see them personally in concert but I've got quite a few bootleg concerts, and they sound very promising. I believe right now they're touring either Europe or the West Coast, but I could be wrong. ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 22 Jun 2002 04:13:35 EDT From: Irockedyermom@aol.com Subject: re: NPR Zwan Actually I have three live mp3s of Zwan and I think it sounds a LOT like the pumpkins. really good stuff. ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 22 Jun 2002 11:52:03 EDT From: NoisyPollution@aol.com Subject: Re: Zwan In a message dated 6/22/02 2:10:06 AM Central Daylight Time, jak@ircii.org writes: > I believe right now they're > touring either Europe or the West Coast, but I could be wrong. > Yeah I've read a section about his new band in Rollingstone (my subscription to that magazine is kind of undecided) and he had Marianne Faithfull show up on stage with him. He's writing some songs for her on her new CD or something. Peace, }}Y{{eLissA I hate this kind of light rawk crap. It's way too happy, way too sappy, way too crappy for me. IOW, they need tweezers to masturbate) when G&R came onstage. Then he began to play that awful "unravel my sweater" song that was Weezer's first hit...like plucking a lead solo of the vocal line to that song on his guitar using the tweezers. The result being that people were calling Weezer their "new name", Tweezer, for the rest of the night. Still, it didn't have the devastating effect that happened to Richard Marx around Hollywood when somebody, I forget who, said "I like Lita Ford 'cause she has a lot of dick marks..." at some party where he and Lita both were. He was ridiculed so badly over that one he went into hiding and didn't resurface for ages. ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 22 Jun 2002 12:47:21 EDT From: KrodKnid@aol.com Subject: Re: Zwan...NPR Oops...I didn't notice the "NPR" was missing from that thread.
