I must say that I am impressed...it only took you 5 minutes to respond to that post. Welcome back to the list! For those of you who do not know Nikki, she is in charge of ALL of Atlantic's Internet presence, including p-o-e.com As far as p-o-e.com is concerned Nikki has the authority to set policy. She is essentially Angie's boss in that limited respect. Obviously you are reading the list, we are glad that you are! If you have been following for a while you know that p-o-e.com has become a very hostile place for Angry Psychos. In fact the very phrase and the name of our BBS are banned words on that site. This hostility has made some of US very hostile toward Angie It is the feeling of the majority of the Board of Directors of Angry Psychos, Inc that things are coming to a head and if they are not resolved soon that they may not be able to be resolved and action would need to be taken. Would you be willing to become involved in the interest of peace? What we are asking is that rules be established for p-o-e.com and that all those banned be given another chance. That the only reason a Poe fan will be banned from the site in the future is for violation of those rules, and that if that step becomes necessary that the offender will at least be told what he or she did wrong. If there is ANY step that is made toward peace I can assure you that we will meet it with three steps toward the same goal. I know that we share some responsibility in the problem, but it is a minor and reactive role. >> ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 4 Apr 2002 09:34:37 EST From: Dan98908@aol.com Subject: Re: p-o-e.com Hello Nikke.Slight@Atlantic-Recording.com (NPlati), In reference to your comment: h Fact is Dan we are just keeping the site up and running h because we wish Poe all the very best and we're happy h to maintain a place for the fans who have been so h supportive for as long as you want to use it (or my h bosses tell me I can't!). Atlantic does so many good things that we don't hear about, it is sad that more of them are not reported. You have done a LOT of good things for Poe in the past and are showing real class as the contract comes to it's end. While it doesn't sound like you could help much in trying to make p-o-e a fun place for ALL of Poe's fans again, something seems to have made a difference. Myself and at least one other who was banned are back on p-o-e. I will do my best to keep up our end of the bargain I have posted publicly. I thanked Angie for letting us back on and promised to be the best p-o-e citizen that I can be. I also posted on our BBS that we should support p-o-e.com and let the past be the past. Perhaps 2002 will end up being as good a year as I had hoped a few short months ago! I don't know how much longer you will be in the picture in our Poe world, but you have always been straight with us! I might not always have liked the response, but it was always the truth, it was always direct and there was always sound reasoning behind it. I wish you the BEST as you continue what you do. ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 04 Apr 2002 14:59:26 +0000 From: tohaveaplan@att.net Subject: Dan's letter to Nikki Quote from Dan in nikki's Letter: "If there is ANY step that is made toward peace I can assure you that we will meet it with three steps toward the same goal. What is a good > Rasputina intro CD? > >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> The new one is "Cabin Fever". Their first was "Thanks For The Ether"...it is very aetherial except for a couple hard rockin' songs. There was an EP from the same period called "Transylvanian Regurgitations", but it just had stuff that was on the full album except for the Manson remix of Transylvanian Concubine. The second album is "How We Quit The Forest"...it rocks a lot harder than TFTE, and has a few aetherial numbers too. Either of the first two are great in their own way, but HWQTF might be easier to get into. There is another EP called "The Lost And Found" which is very recent. It is 5 covers of stuff by Velvet Underground, Manson, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, and This Little Piggy. That is a good one too. Tourniquet, the Manson cover, is great...I can't get enough of it.
