I use an ab machine at the gym, and even though I do many reps with shitloads of weight... it doesn't get rid of the ol' tummy. The sad stories are true -- the only way to get visible abs are with a healthy diet and all that stuff. So, in the meantime, as long as I can fit in 36 pants, I don't care what my stomach looks like. Nothin wrong with a *little* tummy! 8-) Rob >From: "Bad Bender" >To: >Subject: Re: RE: those electronic AbBelt thingys >Date: Tue, 5 Mar 2002 01:07:31 -0600 > > >Careful people. I didn't want to be one of those elitist "the book is much better" people. I knew it wasn't supposed to be exactly like the book(s)... But dear god!! It WAS horrible! Why didn't they use the *good* parts of the book?! Like the whole origin of Mekare & Maharet (where the hell was Mekare anyway?!). There story was my favorite part of the QOTD book. Not to mention, it was very MTV... Crappy quality. It just did nothing for me. Hopefully if they do Tale of the Body theif, the REAL movie makers will be behind it. Not the crappy QOTD director. I just want the good people to say "ok, tag... we're it!" So sad. So very sad. I didn't like the movie much. For a name like Queen of the Damned it didn't seem to have much to do with her, she seemed a minor character. Oh well, off to see Time Machine. > > You know, I went into the movie determined to like it. I didn't want to be > one of those elitist "the book is much better" people. It was pretty good. I wish they had gone into it with more depth, it kind of just ended with out a resolution, but it was good, much better than the original...plus I have a weakness for Samantha Mumba...irish girls are so hot. - -conor- - ----- Original Message ----- From: "Bad Bender" To: Sent: Sunday, March 17, 2002 9:15 PM Subject: NPR-Queen of the Damned-NPR > > I didn't read the book so I had little idea of what the movie would be > about.
