Not really. First of all I will admit that I am not a big Anne Rice Fan, I have read a few of the Chronicals but not anything that would consider me true to her. Now on the Sexual preference on Vampires. Dracovixen was right, they arent human. When you are immortal and see humans as the entree you take all Vampires as one and the same, no gender, just one of your kind. Anne Rice puts this true in her books, but she isnt the first. Another good Vampire novel to check out is Lost Souls by Poppy Z. Brite although most of her books have a base on homosexuality. It is a point that Vampires don't see in one gender. Its an epiphany with immortality. companionship does not have to be heterosexual, companionship is what you make it. - ----- Original Message ----- From: To: ; Sent: Sunday, January 20, 2002 7:28 AM Subject: Re: Blood and Gold by Anne Rice...gay? So there I am, sitting there, with his mom next to me, and she starts pointing out all the wrestlers TIGHT outfits, and pronounces herself as a CROTCH lady. I was mortified. NPR Why is everyone talking about Valentine's Day already? I totally forgot it was coming up. I just broke up with my guy of over four years the other night. You people keep talking about this, and I am going to take him back just so that I have someone for V Day. :) Just kidding. I'm done with him, but I think everyone just needs to lighten up. It's just another day, and some people like to make money off of it, and others like to think of it as a day to remind people to cherish the ones you love. You know, V Day isn't just for lovers, it's for you to say "I love you" to all your friends and family, too. I know it's hard to be single and watch people around you receive gifts from their lovers, but, hey, they also have to put up with that person's flaws, idiosyncracies, and the stresses of having a relationship. You get less stress from keeping a cat. :) But I suggest ferrets. Descented ones. :) Yeah, so that's my .02.
