Liza, the webmaster of the site, asked for whatever lyrics I can provide, she also happens to like Poe, and I think you know what that means! So, if you guys would like to help me out, send the lyrics to your favorite Poe song, and I'll send them to her. She gets stuff from me quicker than submitting through the site itself. I have most of the lyrics to the songs on "Hello" but send what you want. I'm a huge fan of No Doubt, they are my fave band. This is probably their second-best, because they will NEVER top Tragic Kingdom (I really hope I get to eat my words though) Let's go through it song by song: 1. Intro just an intro, like 40 secs mirroring the final track. They used a similar pattern on their self-titled CD. 2. Hella Good Very good. Probably my fave song on here. I just really like it. It wasn't as good live on SNL though. 3. Hey Baby A Great song, but it's definately not the best on the CD. We've all heard it... 4. Making Out I really like this song, but Rolling Stone didn't. It's similar to Hella Good and Hey Baby with all the keyboards and stuff. 5. Underneath it All Rolling Stone also hated this one. I LOVE it. It's VERY Jamaican. Has a cool Jamaican lady singing at one part. Reminds me of vintage No Doubt almost. 6. Detective This is a cute song. Kinda weird... very video-game ish. 7. Don't let Me Down This makes me smile. It's very 80s and electronic. It may be the next single. It's really good. Similar to Detective. 8. Start the Fire This is a good song, but it's kinda repetitive. "Go on baby get the lighter, we're gonna start the fire." It sounds pretty Jamaican too. 9. Running This song is similar to Detective and Don't Let Me Down with the cute little video game sound. It's a good ballad. One of the few slowish songs. 10. In My Head Rolling Stone bashed this one too, but we know how much they suck after their review of Haunted. This song cracks me up. It's kind of a paranoid song... "Everybody wants, everybody else. Everybody wants, everybody else. Everybody wants, everybody else. Everybody wants, everybody else. Only in my head." I really like the chorus. 11. Platinum Blonde Life One of the few songs with guitar! I LOVE it! ALso reminds me of vintage No Doubt. I suggest getting this song if you're just going to download bits and pieces. 12. Waiting Room This is my least favorite song. The poll at NoDoubt.com says this is the best song though. I dont' know. I just don't like it. Prince produced and sang backup on it. I don't know... it seems to be full of the stuff I didn't like about Hey Baby. 13. Rock Steady This song kinda drags a bit, but it's a good closer. I think it's a little too slow... maybe if they remixed it? Well, I tried! Hehehe... let me know if you have any questions. Oh, and the CD is enhanced. It comes with 2 videos, one for Hey Baby and one for the making of this record. It also has a screensaver. - -Michael (smileyllama) _________________________________________________________________ Send and receive Hotmail on your mobile device: http://mobile.msn.com ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 4 Jan 2002 21:38:01 EST From: JewlyaINAP@aol.com Subject: NPR: Venus Unrelenting Hey Psychos......
