Unfortunately, I am not seeing the reason for this latest statement of implied infringement. I do not see Poe as being such a hot property as to require such a watchdog effort. Obviously, if she was dropped from her label, they do not see much in her future as a business investment. She also said that Atlantic was simply the distribution end of the deal, and that she is receiving lots of offers from other distributors, but she declined to mention names. Her biggest concern is that technically, Atlantic still has distribution rights to Haunted for two more years, and she's afraid they are going to hang on to it and keep it shelved, rather than release it to FEI to get a new distribution deal. Poe said that although Haunted is a year-old, she feels it's just starting to come into its own, and would hate for it to be held back by Atlantic. The slowest Athlons (slot A type) are 500 mhtz, and there are very few of those around. The standard for them seems to start at about 850 mhtz and run up to about 1.5 ghtz. I love to read, and I think the following are some of the best I have picked up: - -Interview with the Vampire, by Anne Rice. I read this many years ago but have reread it many times since. Superb. - -A Density of Souls, by Christopher Rice. This book is by Anne's son, but it has nothing to do with vampires. Its about a gay character named Stephen, but its a good read nonetheless. - -Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West, by Gregory Maguire. This is perhaps my favorite fantasy novel, EVER. He takes the tale of Dorothy and twists it around so it tells the story of the Wicked Witch, Elphaba. Truly remarkable. After you read it you will be in love with the witch. - -Venus Drive, by Sam Lypsite. A collection of his short stories. Very graphic and sometimes dirty. A cool read. This list could go on and on, but for now I'll just leave you with those: a little something from every corner: vampires, gays, witches, and prostitues. What more could a person ask for?
