Anyway I have had the most surreal and best night of my life. The concert was sooo amazing, some people there were a bit rude and snobby but who cares I wasn't there for them, anyway to make a long story short POE came out, She looked HOT and amazing, she was soo great she touched everybody she could possibly reach, her and I had a special Dolphin touch and then I went to the back to have some space and dance and enjoy the concert better and she came back there and we sang together to haunted for a bit, And I thought WOW it can get better than this, well then during wild, when it kicked in to the remix part she was actually calling and looking for me and I went all the way from the very back on to the stage I couldn't believe it, I danced with her a while and then I gave her my jacket and stepped to the side still in shock. then she goes backstage and go back to where my boyfriend was at and when she comes out again she asked if I wanted it back and I said that she could have it and that I Loved her aand she was sooo happy. Anyway after the concert I waited around and got to talk to her and stuff and took pictures and hopefully we will see each other again because I really want to present her with some of my ideas and costumes. Well then just when I thought my night couldn't get better I go trying to find a place to crash cuz I had driving all the way from Orlando, FL to atlanta just to see her and I get pulled over for no major problem, my lights weren't simply on, I wasn't even gonna get a ticket. The next thing I know is that I am being arrested and taken to jail, I had to laugh, so was the cop here I am in a black stray-jacket with pins all over and chains, and boots with a 9inch platform. It turned out the my license had been suspended for about three months or so, little did I know. So then I go to jail where they strip me butt naked and spray this funk on me and dress me in in a bright orange jumpsuit. The rest of my jail expierence wasn't very good but I did try making the best of it, thinking about how incredible the night was for me. to be quite honest I would do it all again. As long as I get to see POE I don't care about being arrested or having my boyfriend pay 3 thousand dollars to bail me out, it was worth it. I guess it just makes me a pyscho and not an angry one. hehehe well heres hoping ur POE x-perience is as adventurous and incredible as mine. take care WILLY ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 21 Nov 2001 12:15:45 -0500 From: "John A. Of course it was incredible. Got to meet up with APs past and present -- a lot of reminiscing took place! Poe was so full of energy. While I enjoyed the Depeche Mode show, there's nothing quite like seeing Poe perform in a club. The band is really gelling, too, although Not a Virgin could use a little work -- Poe's vocals were right on but the band was lagging a bit, but it was still good. Before the show a couple of us went to meet Poe at the WBER studios. We were waiting around outside with Levar and his mom Roberta when the DJ pulled up with Poe and Craig in tow. Poe jumped out of the jeep and ran over to us. She said "You're all coming in with me!" so we did. :) I hope you all got to hear the interview. She must have spent over an hour on the air. She held up home made signs from some people from Canada, she pulled people up on stage to sing some of the songs with her. borrowed hats from people in the audiance, held the microphone in front of people to sing the chorus anything she could think of. I got it the day after the DM show in August (called my tattoo artist for an emergency session), and she was stoked when I showed it to her in Denver. Anyway, if you want to check out mine there's a pic of it posted at http://www.geocities.com/talula658/poetats.html We should start a club of people that have Poe tats. - --- Benjamin Uong wrote: > > Oh, she was totally touched when she saw that I got > her autograph tattooed. For starters, my name is Michelle Vega. I am 22 years old, and live in Metairie, Louisiana. I first heard Poe on a very cool, now non-existent radio station when "Hello" first came out. A few other musicians that I enjoy listening to are the Indigo Girls, Natalie Merchant, Depeche Mode, and anything from the 80's. I cannot really think of anything else to share. I just find it strange to type out a lot of information about myself. It's pretty hard to think of things. But if anyone has any questions, feel free to ask... michelle - -- __________________________________________________________________ Your favorite stores, helpful shopping tools and great gift ideas. I've had mine running for quite some time, and even with the abuse I put my computer through, it hasn't crashed once. I find that with OS installing, it's best to do a fresh install, not an upgrade.. it makes for much better times. Also, some hardware isn't compatible with XP yet (get new drivers at the company sites), so run the compatibility wizard waaaay before installing and see what might cause problems. I hope this helps (too late? ^^;;).. and the XP stands for 'experience', or so I've heard ^^;; - -miharu ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 21 Nov 2001 23:12:06 EST From: Prozackitty16@aol.com Subject: Re: cameras? Mmmm...yes....cameras. However, even if you DO win, they will not let you use your OWN camera. They will give you a SPECIAL one(is that fishy enough for you?) and AFTER the show, take it BACK from you, develope it, and then give you your pictures you took.... I know what I'm doing 2. I'm not an idiot 3. I wasn't trying to make windows crash on purpose I just thought at this point that I would share my XPerience since the microsoft website won't let me post a problem with their system on their server. i went to microsoft support and searched for hours to know avail for a solution to the crash. when i was done, i was given a survey to take and rate their support service...which i did. at the end of the survey, it asked if i wanted to email my info to microsoft so they could 'help me with my problem'...i tried to, but as soon as i hit the button it gave me an illegal operation on IE...all 3 times i tried. my friend's father runs the IS ept where he works (yes, he's MCSE too) and he told me to try windows update using W98 and tell him if i found anything unusual. this is what happened there: none of the site certificates matched the author and i couldn't install them, in fact, i tried it again tonight (call me a glutton for punishment) and still no luck. i even lowered my security settings and removed my firewall and no luck. anywho, happy thanksgiving (for those who celebrate it) - ---dan ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 21 Nov 2001 21:17:26 -0800 From: Miharu Nakatani Subject: NPR: cranky miharu For anyone who thinks my posts are in any way condescending or offensive, I'm sorry you feel that way.
