Craig came out, and I was all hello hello...we actually had a curt but amusingly nice exchange..and random band members came by, and finally Poe herself got to the venue. LOVELY LOVELY LOVELY POE. I can't write much, I am too freaking burnttired. but...I was right in front of the mic stand, the beautiful woman was all that and more, and I swear I cannot wait till the next time I see her. She is amazing and beyond words. She pulled me up on stage, Beautiful Girl, I belive...but I am so in mindshock right now, I am only partially sure...I have NO idea what was up with the bar issue, but at about 1 am. (yes. I am.) only about 7 of us exsisted...and well, she finally came up and signed things and took photos. It was hillarious, Craig was doing some light rushing, and was mentioning how she was rushing to go to her mom, who lives in NYC and she almost never sees. So he goes, "Poe, your mom, , who you never see" She's like "Oh yea HER...k, hol on....and continues on... Shes a laugh riot.I am just droping a note not for any deep insight but to mention that ya'll know what? If you clear your mind, and go in to no matter what have a good time, all will be good:) I loved the show, and yes, there were a couple of annoying moments, like the hour and a half wait until she came out...but for the most part...I wouldnt miss it, or change it, for the world. The woman is a artistic genius in my mind, and allowing normal exsistence to mar the whole experience would be silly. To those going, I say: "block out the world, its a you and poe experience, even if you're stuck in the back.or craig temporarily is short with you. or some bizatch wants to piss you off. I was saying to someone, I went to 3 tori shows this year, and you know what? I felt closer vibes to the people, ap and poe alike, in 8 hours, than I did at all 3 tori shows. and Tori shows kicked ass. Now MY TAKE, on craig Listen you guys, and appeal, you may flame me, but if you do, as someone said, DELETE BUTTON:) Craig is trying REALLY hard to actually make a sorta mellow peace with us, I am sure. Those people were panteene people and poes and bands friends, shit goes down. He really wont snap at you unless he's in a BAD mood or you really ask him at a bad time, or for something impossible, I belive. The fact of the matter is, he has a tense sense of humor and personality. I was able to witness it for a bit, and he's like that with EVERYONE even venue staff and TOE... Whatever Whatever...you can disagree based on opinion and experience, but the man hasa life, and a family and has gotta be under the pressure. But whatever , that's my two overtired cents. I appologize if he offended or hurt you at any time or anyway, and you think my rant is B.S.....All I know is, when Poe did finally come out at 1 am, we 4 were standing there, and he really seemed super human/mortal. Got me thinking, he's just a guy, with a job, keeping up with his responsibilities, and sending a buck home to the family. I think he knows now he has got to make a peace with us, and he IS doing what he can. There is a Thrashers game tonight plus these has been construction around the Dome. I decided to take MARTA to the show tonight, I'm afraid the traffic might be too bad with all that mess. I just got an email from Tracie (thanks!) and she gave me a great idea!!! If there's anyone down in LA or San Fran who plans on driving up to the Portland show (the last show of the tour!) we could get a convoy of AP's going... Tracie said she wouldn't be able to go, cause she has plans on the 3rd, but if anyone is making the drive up here to Oregon, let the list know... I know a lot of AP's have been following the tour and seeing a LOT of the Southwest shows (Denver, Utah, LA, San Fran, etc.), and I'm sure we could get a crowd of AP's like that for the Portland show... I know Poe would love to see that kind of support on her last show for awhile... (it might be even longer until Poe goes on tour again, without having a label or new album to back it...) I know I've talked to alot of AP's that have expressed interest in going to the Northwest shows, but have no way of getting up here... if there's anyone who can help or anyone making the drive anyway, let the list know, as I'm sure there are plenty of AP's that would love to follow the tour and keep you company on the long drive. It had to be the most amazing concertI have ever been to.The set list was exactly the same as it was the other set list posted she played all of those songs Her interaction with the audience was amazing she pulled a bunch of ppl (including me!!!!!!) on stage for Beautiful Girl. before she played haunted she asked if it was true that some ppl thought StAndrew's/The Shelter was haunted. She asked who had seen a ghostand she pulled this guy on stage and made him tell the story. For the concert we were in the basement (there was another concert--Butthole Surfers - --going on upstairs) and she mentioned going upstairs & asking them to be quiet cos the ppl down here wanted to hear the music !!!! I love Poe sense of humor it's so wicked!!!!! Anway It was awesome amazing and beautiful I wnet around with a stupid grin on my face for Days!!!!
