She was about to do the body surf during Dolphin when she said, "here I come, here I come." She was in a ready position and about to dive out to the crowd. For some reason, she held back. She must'd sensed something wrong in the crowd that stopped her from doing the dive. But from where I was standing I couldn't tell. It was a really bad spot, but I managed to get Poe attention during Hey Pretty by lit up my lighter and placed it right next to my new Poe autographed tattoo that she signed on my forearm the night before in Boston. After the show I immediately left the venue to my car to get my camera and was on my way back to the venue again. I was very lucky that I ran into these 2 girls(whoever you guys are...you guys rock) whom told me that Poe already left the venue and back in the tour bus. I looked inside the bus from the front and saw Poe eating(?) I waved at her and she waved back. Then a whole bunch of people (I think they're her family) walked up her tour bus. These 2 girl, mysekf, and this guy did the same thing and got on her tour bus, but we were immediately asked to leave. Poe said she'll come out in a bit...and she did way way sooner than I expected. She was incredibly nice to us. I got some pics taken with her and my Poe tattoos. woohoo, she kissed my tattoo. Then Craig came out, I have no comments on him. He told Poe that she needs to go back inside the bus. After she got back inside the bus, I stayed for a bit and talked with some psychos. I wanted to stick around and say good bye to Poe, but then I decided to leave. It was a great experience. I just wanna say that I love even more now that I did 3 days ago. Poe kicks ass! I am from Buffalo New York, though I go to school in Rochester at RIT for graphic design 19 years of aging i am, woo woo I first heard Poe when I was probably around 15, maybe a bit earlier. I listen to a lot of different music, my favorites include Sarah McLachlan, Liz Phair, Radiohead, Blur, and Sarah Slean. I actually am a Fumbler, which kinda equates to an angry psycho, except for Sarah McLachlan. Ive been apart of the FTE list for about 4 years or so now and I have made such good friends off of it. I am really looking forward to joining this list. I saw Poe for the first time actually last nite at Water Street Music Hall in Rochester. I was amazed at how much Poe interacted with her crowd. It was amazing... :) and I saw angry psychos there and I thought that rocked cause you guys reminded me of fumblers....awww a tear comes to my eye :) so yeah, I'm glad to get onto the list and I hope to get to know you all Ciao--Nic IM: Fumblbee23 ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 17 Nov 2001 23:21:12 -0800 (PST) From: Roger B Subject: Pittsburgh show at Laga If you missed the show at club Laga in Pittsburgh, shame on you! Over the past few days, communities such as Palm Beach and Sarasota county have reported several cases of Megadeth, and one Miami Beach resident may even have contracted a case of Pantera. The CDC is stockpiling vaccines for these deadly viruses in the event that things become more serious. Terry Lavine, head of the Florida State Board of Music urged residents to stay indoors, tune their radios to easy listening stations and to report any long-haired "metal" types to their local sheriff. "I don't want to cause a panic, but I think this attack is intentional and I fear things will get worse before they get better. This could be bigger than Monsters of Metal back in '86. If Danzig decides to go on reunion tour, we may need to call in the National Guard." Lavine said. "Thankfully there haven't been any outbreaks of Metallica since 1991." Vicki Cartwright of Cartwright Office Supplies was an eye witness to the reported case of Pantera. Her shocking story paints a frightening picture as she watched a coworker suffer the effects. "I was helping a customer in the notebook aisle when all of a sudden I saw Larry thrashing about in the stapler department. I mean, staplers were flying everywhere, his head was swinging wildly back and forth, and I was afraid for my life. Larry's been known to do some weird stuff in the past, but not since they made him assistant night manager." Larry (last name withheld until his parents can be located) was rushed to County General where a staff of surgeons were set to operate. Luckily for Larry, one of the surgeons was a recovering metal-head who recognized the symptoms. "We were able to stabilize Larry, but I don't think we've seen the end of this disturbing trend. I think this is only the beginning. I just pray to God that the Center for Disease Control is developing a Stryper vaccine, or we all could be at risk." I remember when Pirate Radio first started up... it was good, but it still couldn't pry me away from KROQ. KROQ was the only reason I got to see Blancmange, and got to go backstage at an INXS show, and they just sponsored the best shows...like DM at the Rose Bowl when 101 was recorded (I was there!), or the Cure with the Pixies at Dodger Stadium, or....(oh still, my beating heart!) the Smiths with Echo & the Bunnymen at Irvine Meadows........ The show last night was awesome. I have never seen an entertainer that interacted with her fans and audience so much. I knew it was going to be a great show, but I couldnt even fathom HOW good it was. It was amazing to get pulled up on stage and have POE put her arms around me!! We are taking our pics of the concert to get developed in a little while, so hopefully I can have them up and scanned by tonight! POE rocks!! Roger, I'll let you know when I get the pics. I can send them to you or something if you want. Hey everyone, I'm pretty much new to the list...I'll probably get to know each one of you eventually but in the meantime, I have a question..feel free if anyone can answer it... 1) I've been keeping up with the list, and I heard that Poe was somehow "dropped" from Atlantic. 42 songs already recorded, owned by Atlantic...does that mean that we're gonna have to wait a while for a new album from her? BTW...her concert in Chicago a few weeks ago was totally awesome! It was better than the free unplugged concert at the HOB that she did in June. It had to be one of the best concerts ever that I've been to..if not the best. The highlight was when her arm was around me and we were both dancing to "Haunted"! I'm never taking a shower again!!! ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 18 Nov 2001 20:46:21 EST From: KrodKnid@aol.com Subject: Re: NPR: KROQ In a message dated 11/18/2001 8:02:36 PM Eastern Standard Time, brendles@prodigy.net writes: > OMG...I loved DIN! I honestly cant blame her for not surfing, I think thats why she went out into the audience a couple of times instead (via foot and all) Ian-Deathsythe 4:20 "Anyone who sees me has got a date with there maker" Duo Maxwell "I just smoked your ass!"
