Your standing there, the wonderful star you're in charge of is being her wonderful self and talking to your fans, and all that's running through your head is..."Shit, we got that talk show interview at 8 a.m., then the Virgin meet and greet at 9:30, then at 11 we're supposed to be at this place...blah, blah blah..." Think about it!! Most of us just have to keep track of what time we need to be at work and what time lunch is!! Granted, he could be a bit more lenient and allow us our time during tear down at the end of a show, but he's trying to make sure our queen gets time to sleep and eat a good meal before he has to get her on the road again. So next time you decide to go Craig bashing, take a moment to see things through his eyes, okay??? Then take a deep breath smile, and say what you want to say. Bell" Subject: NYC show... thoughts. And here's my two-bit reflection on the show last night. The show was absolutely wonderful. Aside from a few people being inconsiderate towards the end and during Poe's talk about 9/11, people were pretty cool. I was disappointed when I arrived that I couldn't locate any other APs... I was the loser wearing my shirt and cap, but oh, well. Eventually I found a few APs, and just stuck with them the rest of the night. Oh, not to mention running into my old friend Chris that I hadn't seen in a long time... that was cool. TofE was a great opening act, too... totally deserving to open for Poe. The excitement at seeing her come to the stage over the crowd to the opening theme to Star Wars was awesome... and the whole band was cool during this, too. :) Each and every song was sung by the audience and Poe, with more enthusiasm than I usually see at a show. Shows just how much her fans love her. All this was great... until the end of the show. A few of us APs there were waiting around after the show... we heard she was coming back in. We got autographs from the band. Then the promoter came in with his henchmen, and made us all leave, because Poe WAS coming back... for a meet n greet... that didn't include APs!!!!! These random people were all given Poe All Access badges, and allowed to hang with her while we were forced out of the bar!!! So we get outside, by the door, and we're not going anywhere, because we figure maybe, if she sees us, she'll be willing to spend just FIVE minutes with us. Couldn't hurt to wait. Then we see her and Craig down by her bus. So we walk down there... and she's telling Craig, "just a few more minutes", which would've been enough time for one autograph and one pic with each of us ( there was only about 7 of us left). Craig told us to line up away from the bus, so we did, but then he starts shoving her away, saying "look, we have to go inside (meaning the club, for the meet and greet). We all started begging her to come back. The thought came to me that I was actng childish... I know that we're not privileged as APs. Why are we acting this way? But I saw the other side of it, too. How could five minutes hurt? People were near tears. Poe is SO LOVED... then she pulled away from Craig, and said to all of us: "Look, the only way he's going to let me do this is if we go inside and do this first, but I promise I'll come back. I'll be back!" And with that, Craig pulled her away and back to the club. So we waited. And waited. And waited. Finally we went back to the door of the club. After waiting there for awhile, the henchman came back out, and told us if we wanted autographs, we had to hurry through the bar that was connected and he gaveus directions to inisde the lounge... so some of us went, and some stayed thinking it was a ruse, a decoy. And it was. We got back out, and discovered Poe still hadn't left. This was almost an hour after she said she'd be back. So she was in there, still hanging out with all these people. Most of us had to leave, and get the train back to Jersey. It was disappointing. While I was elated to have seen her live (and I even got face-to face with her and got to sing a line when she came out to the audience), I went home a little disappointed and sad. Hell, the APs didn't have a post-show, even though I thought that was all planned out. I did get to meet some cool people, and rode home on the train with a girl I met from the show who was really cool. I did get a lot of pictures from the show, but one was missing, the one I really wanted... just one picture of me and Poe. I know, it's selfish. But it's how I felt. So that's that. Maybe next time. - -jb - --------------------------- Gomer Goes to Hollywood... Hell, even Cyrex is still in business, running a distant 3rd to Intel and AMD. The real problem with beta video is that it cost more than VHS and the quality was not that much better...plus there just wasn't as many beta movies available. The VHS people just got up and running better and quicker than beta...and that market only had room for one type of videotape. Uh....we DO live in america...freedom of speech is one of those little things that you just have to deal with. If you don't want to listen, close your ears. Delete key, people. There IS one somewhere one your key-board. Anyway, I personally doubt that anyone who works for Atlantic Records that matters in the artist contract group area is on this list, and I doubt that, if they were, they wouldn't care. So, how does this hurt poe? And I am posative that hundreds of thousands of poe fans aren't even on this list. And I doubt that if there is any "fight/breakup" on the list between a few people, then poe's career will be in trouble. I mean really...do you truely believe that? If the list goes into a holy war, then people will still buy poe's CD. > >From: Prozackitty16@aol.com > >To: Jesabel82@aol.com, angry-psychos@smoe.org > >Subject: Re: Lay the fuck off CRAIG!!!!! > >Date: Thu, 15 Nov 2001 17:50:08 EST > > > > > >Oh REEEEALLY?? HELP!! Does he want a Palm Pilot? or just a handheld? Since there are many groups of handhelds you can go for. You can go Palm OS (IBM workpad, Palm, Handspring) or Windows CE (Ipaq and others) or even like those Vtech and other handhelds that use some linux o/s which are a great value at the price but no cool games for them. I have a Palm Vx and also a Ipaq, They are both pretty cool, and do different things for me. The Palm Vx i has a wireless modem on it , where i check ebay, use AIM on it also has lots of games and alot of other fun stuff. It is small and can fit in your pocket. So if you looking for something small and not in color go with the Palm Vx (you can get them for around $200 now new) Also you can get the color model which is more. (check www.cnet.com for prices or pricewatch.com) The Ipaq (i have a wireless modem, but dont use it does work that well) i put in a Wireless LAN card 802.11 and you can walk around the city and pick up a wireless signal which is cool. Also i set up a wireless network in my house so i can search the web around my house. (there is no real point to this, since i have a laptop but i still do it) Also the color screen is nice, and it can play MP3's. I still use the palm vx more since its small and the battery last longer. It really depends on what you are going to use it for. But there is alot more free games, and other goodies for the Palm OS. Also where do you live, since if you are in an area that vindigo.com covers i will go with a palm os handheld seeya ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 16 Nov 2001 18:27:48 EST From: KrodKnid@aol.com Subject: Fwd: A question about PALM PILOTS.
