Ok...heres the plan..... I'm trying to work w/ my "friends in high places" to help me execute this fab-tab-ulous idea. It will be Poe in a snow globe w/ a mike w/ "POE" frosted on the back of the ball. I'm still working on what the base will look like but I need some input on what song it will play. Anyideas? I was thinking maybe "Spanish Doll". It has to be a "music-box-compatible" song so keep that in mind. Plus its gotta be able to be made out so it needs a defining tune. I'd LOVE to get you guys input on this plan!! ;-) HEY POE!! We can't take pictures? Dan's camera is taken away by Craig from Rachel because it is Dan's? The "winners" can't even keep their cameras? I sure hope those were disposeables because let me tell you, I would be SCREAMING if I took my nice camera in there for shots that I was told I could get and then it was taken away without a word of getting it back. I remember Mike showing me the AP backstage passes at the Cobalt Lounge show in Portland. That was when he got POE's OK for us to have them and that the designs were good. Now those are gone??? AFTER POE OK'D IT?? The right WE were given BY POE to be able to video her concerts? Take what pictures we want??? How about the fact that we have ON VIDEO Poe saying that we, the Angry Psychos, would have A LOT more time to be able to see her when she does her own tour. This was said IN FRONT OF CRAIG. I am seeing A LOT of things that POE said was OK being ripped out from us. HOWEVER, we are not hearing that FROM Poe. This is coming from Craig (who wasn't supposed to be here this tour). Angie doesn't work with us and that is just a fact. She does her own thing on p-o-e.com and honestly it really doesn't involve us. I mean that should seem obvious, that is what I am seeing anyway. Angie doesn't respond to any of my private emails, and who am I? THATS EXACTLY IT, I am NOBODY, just an AP that was working on a special project, so why wouldn't she respond? hmmmm. I am seeing a lot of things being taken from us that we were told we would have, things that were promised to us. I have an issue when promises are broken, that is not good. It isn't good for the fans and it isn't good for a star. I agree with somethings here. First, I don't think POE really knows much of what is going on, mainly because I think she is being kept from it. Why?? I don't know. Also, why aren't we being allowed to talk to POE? Those of us that were able to before can't do it now. THis was the woman that came to our HOUSES!!!! Amazing how times seem to change. Ok I am done with my rant. But, after some prodding by my wonderful wife, I left for the Bluebird at 9:00--just when Think of England was taking the stage. Arrived as they were taking their equipment off the stage. Met up with Mike on the left side of the stage. I was absolutely amazed at how packed the place was, especially since Tori was just a few miles down the road. I guess this was the show for people who didn't get Tori tickets. Here's the setlist, as typed into my phone throughout the show... Hello That Day (solo! She also talked about how she missed Cameron--I do, too) Wild Beautiful Girl Dolphin Hey Pretty Trigger Happy Jack Walk the Walk (talk about getting a crowd fired up!) Angry Johnny Haunted (she ran into the crowd, towards the back, up the stairs to the balcony...quite the sight) Fly Away Control Near the end of the song, she just started grabbing people up onto the stage. Titus started playing some nice house beats and everyone just started getting their groove on. About 25-30 people made it on stage. Then, she had everyone on stage sit down (on the stage) and sang... 5 1/2 Minute Hallway (after about 5 minutes...they came back out) Choking the Cherry POE seemed to have a real good time tonight. So glad to see Daris back. He was looking quite snazzy all dressed up, when compared to the older tours. Ziggy was great as well. He and POE interacted so much during the show. And Andrew can play some mad keyboard. It was amazing seeing POE back in the small clubs where she belongs. The energy she produces just can't be appreciated in a huge venue. That's my story, and I'm sticking to it. If anything, the Angry PsYcHo shirts imitate the Psycho shirts. I'm sure I'm not the only one who has an officially licensed PsYcHo shirt from the 1996/1997 tour. I pined over getting one ever since I started liking Poe, then finally bought it in 97. There are even apparently two varieties of it, one with lyrics on the back. I asked Poe why there were no Psycho tank tops like the ones she wore, but she said it was hard to get good tank tops. Guess amp's tanks satisfied her for the DM tour, I liked them enough to buy one. If there was no problem with Poe's management and whatever else right now, nobody would be complaining that they're selling an official Psycho shirt. Personally I think I ought to get a free Poe ball antenna since I told Poe the idea. There are tons of other stuff we can buy that support Poe from the website and at the venues. Personally I liked the powder blue Poe Ball shirts, they looked kewl. The POE - Peace On Earth ones I think are poorly timed with the 9/11 events , look cheap and I just plain don't like the look of. Anyway, thanks for the reality check. I totally didn't think about the old "official" Psycho shirts Most important thing I want to get across about this Poe merch site is that it is being run directly by Poe's people so she gets a MUCH bigger cut then when you buy this stuff at shows where everyone gets their cut first! One venue was going to charge us 20% of the gross sales ( before costs) to let us sell our shirts during this tour, before Nettwerk nixed the idea. So buy what you like, better Poe get the money then Jennyrave on Ebay ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 6 Nov 2001 12:33:54 EST From: Irockedyermom@aol.com Subject: WCAP yahoo club? LOTS of Italian, some outdoor cafes (probably be cold, foggy and/or pouring, though), etc. Check out bayarea.citysearch.com, then cruise restaurants by neighborhood to see what in North Beach looks good to ya. Get yer pitchforks! 8-) > > Rob > Hey Rob, did you notice at SLC when Poe screamed out "Why do you gotta be SUCH a DICK!!??" that a lot of the Psychos were looking right at Craig as they shouted it with her? Or was that my imagination and altered reality? You know I am wondering --- when Angie and I were talking at the beginning and on friendly terms she complained that she wasn't getting much info and cooperation from Nettwerk and she asked me to help her get it on several occasions for specific issues. Is it possible that I may be a big part of Angie's "problems." ?? I believe that Angie shot herself in the foot with us, but I did little to help her. As I got pissed with the attitude and lack of attention to the APs and personal attacks on me I got pretty acid about her....could it be the problem is NOT with Angie, but with Nettwerk??? I don't KNOW!!!! I have been told that Angie feels like she is being set up, and I have pondered that all night and you know what??? Maybe she is!!! My gut feeling is usually right and I VERY much liked Angie at the beginning. I think she has some issues with honesty, but not in a harmful way ( the sleepy Poe stuff and Angie is my dearest oldest friend and Haunted could not have been made without her stuff."). Perhaps my initial reaction to her, that she is a good person that wants to help and REALLY could was correct. On the other hand I never have liked Craig and I can't figure out Patrick (I wish she could have kept Jeff Shock and Jeff would have had Patrick and Nettwerk's power!)...maybe THEY are the bad guys and Angie is being set up too, just like Dean was in his contest and I was in what I tried to do... hmmmm I think I will forward this to Angie and see if she wants to talk! ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 06 Nov 2001 10:38:35 -0800 From: "Cortney Pinion" Subject: Portland December 3rd Show! I was one of the many at the Tori show in Denver last night-mark my word, Poe would have taken precedence BUT Tori is my favorite solo artist and I haven't seen her since she played Red Rocks eons ago and I was taking a friend who was a "Tori virgin" and I couldn't let her down.... yadda yadda, excuses excuses, I know ;-) Anyway, during the break between Tori and Rufus Wainwright I thought about you guys down at the Bluebird and how horribly disappointed I was that of ALL nights Poe was playing when I was seeing Tori...I'm glad there were a lot of people there, judging from the number of people trying to get Tori tixs, I suggested to some that there was an incredible show at the Bluebird for wayyy cheaper and they should head down there....and some said they would (one guys even said, "Poe's here? Well why didn't you say so?" and took off running!) Hopefully I helped out a little...and I'm super jealous after seeing the set list...don't get me wrong, Tori was amazing per usual but I have yet to see a Poe show...who knows how long now!
