Not being trendy when I jump on the negative bandwagon here, but So far I'm not impressed & I have to say I'm a little pissed off that 90percent of the shirts are female only shirts. 4 men shirts and I am lost to their concept. I expected better qaulity. I bet the pants will be 99 percent female oriented if the shirts are the trend here. I mean what kind of marketing crap is that. From what I've seen of this list I don't see Poe fans being Majority Women. What a load of crap femanazi bastards.. Ok on the positive side they had a purple poe ball.. As for the antenna ball .Better buy a lot of them I am sure once someone sees those they will start stealing them off cars.. Anyways thats my rant. I need some aspirin. A big hearty OAP slap on the back for John! If you want to be involved with the Cincy show at Bogarts, email John at the above email addy for more info on OAP happenings down thar! For all u Cleveland folks...I'm still waiting to hear input as to what ya'll wanna do.......... I could have a very small get-together at my new Casa de la Psycho on Saturday, and Sunday morning/afternoon, since after the show may be somewhat difficult for those of us workin folk. He has been really supportive but they are not listening to him on this issue. What I am thinking is find the right person of influence at Atlantic, the owner of the site and everyone that is locked out of p-o-e.com should email them and ask that the discrimination stop. I need to pull up and check on the telecommunication laws and see how they have been updated since I was a sysop of an old BBS. The common thought is that p-o-e.com is a privately owned site and they can lock out anyone they want. IF the laws are the same ( and I think they are) that is not really the case since they are using "wire services" -- telephone lines -- and the site is supposedly open to anyone who would like access. That being the case there MAY be some antidiscrimination laws that would apply. I think I will check into that tomorrow. ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 5 Nov 2001 23:05:43 EST From: Dan98908@aol.com Subject: Re: Poe.com In a message dated 11/5/2001 12:14:25 PM Pacific Standard Time, QueenJezebel81@aol.com writes: > > i'm still having issues w/ my user name... I told you all in the list I would log on right after the show, posted the set list and EVERYTHING in #poe! I passed out soon after that , I was certainly drunk at the time....first time in 27 years I intentionally got wasted....bad night for me personally though the show was INCREDIBLE!!!! Rachel and Miki drove 500+ miles to the Denver show after SLC and I had a 12 hour drive home, just got here 30 minutes ago. Rachel won the contest last night and Miki did tonight. Sounds like things are looking good for you in Dallas, Rusty in Atlanta and Shell in San Francisco!! Not sure how she is selecting the winners. I'll post a full review of the show in the morning, it was AWESOME as far as the show goes!!!! I especially love how Poe added to Control ... you know how she starts Don't you mess with a little girls dreams, .....she's liable to grow up mean" ... she did that too but later in the song added Don't you mess with a little girls dreams cause she'll grow up just like ME!!! New keyboardist Andrew kicks ass! Cody, Cotton, and Brian are gone, Titus is taking Brian's spot and programing samples ( which were not working right last night at times), Svige is much more animated and outgoing ( if that is possible) then he was during the DM tour... oh wait a sec and I will get the set list.... no I won't it is on the other computer, will do it in the morning.... I don't care how frustrated I am with Poe's handlers POE ROCKS!!!! God I love to watch her do her thing! She was GREAT with the audience and tried to get close to the Psychos, dedicated Beautiful Girl to Miki and someone else, didn't hear who. Rachel won the contest and was going to use my DV camera to film, but Craig asked her if I had given her a camera to use and when she fessed up he made her get rid of it, not only that but the two winners had to turn over the film they shot to Craig. Miki said they did not say if or when they would get to see the pictures or if the would get copies. She said they got some great shots though! But hey!! They got back stage this time, better then during the DM tour! Miki ended up with a dislocated shoulder from being jostled up front, but the show was so good she was still flying at the end, Psychos were on stage, Poe in the crowd, Psychos getting hugs ..the show is worth EVERYTHING! ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 5 Nov 2001 23:42:20 EST From: Dan98908@aol.com Subject: Re: Poe in PGH!! Julie is an AP and the quality of her shirts are TONS better then the ones selling at the Poe merch site on yahoo... The Poe shirts there are GREAT 9 but spendy, the money goes mostly to Poe though .... it is run by Angie at http://store.yahoo.com/poestuff ....note the two to three week delivery time. They sell the imitation Psycho shirt at the venue, but I encourage you to get the real thing better, cheaper and faster from a fellow AP ( Julie at psychothreads). ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 5 Nov 2001 23:49:56 EST From: Dan98908@aol.com Subject: Re: Sweet, sweet Poe in SLC [again even!] In a message dated 11/5/2001 7:28:13 PM Pacific Standard Time, K3285@aol.com writes: > Does anyone who was at the show recall if "If You Were Here" made the set > list?! > > It did not and I have a feeling it won't ..... I have seen Poe perform it five times and she has yet to be able to get thru it without having to compose herself, which while tender and heartening to watch is hard on the continuity of a show.... On the other hand, Craig said that they did not have a set list 2 hours before the show so I think you will see a pretty fluid show. I was going to wait to post the set list till tomorrow morning ( I JUST got home from SLC) but maybe I will do it when I get to the house ( I am at my office now), the list is on my laptop. ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 6 Nov 2001 00:50:12 EST From: EMOKidsSmell@aol.com Subject: Re: p-o-e.org Stephen Tucker I will end you!!!!!!! Poe is in fantastic spirits-positive as can be, and really loves touring. The contest winners could not have had a better experience. Laughter and love can be heard when the phonecalls are made.
