Now first of all at Toads, she was certainly kind enough to just let a good number of people come hang out with us backstage afterwards, no way in hell these were all people who knew people and keep this even more in mind-September of 96 there really wasn't an Angry Psychos just yet. Now Housing Works was a different situation yet it was similar, Poes out there taking her time to chill out and talk to everyone for a good while. So how do I feel my chances are of meeting up a third time? Suprisingly good and Im not just saying that, but on the other side I do feel being an AP makes those chances very good simply because we are family and all. At the same time I do understand the whole concept behind the contest, its to drill up more support for Poe visually, though im sure theres something else im not seeing here just yet. Honestly though, I think if you go to one of these shows and your on this list, and if we all have a sorta "group" thing going on at the shows, I think odds are good of getting to chill with Poe. Then I saw her again 2 days later in Albuquerqe. Even though I didnt know the songs yet I really had great time. Few weeks after that I had still 'Control' melody in my head and I decided to buy her Haunted CD - and I got hooked. I met her briefly at an autograph session that she held here in Portland and then again twice more over the next couple of weeks as she continued the DM tour. Most of the meetings were me standing, almost too star struck to speak. One impression that I did come away with was that Poe always gives more than a measure of basic human kindness. The AP's falling into the shadow of her attention while she feverishly works on a new album strikes a truer note with me than her simply letting us wither on the vine. I'm excited for the new album. I've actually learned something related to the madness known as a crush this weekend. There has been a boy (who is a friend) that I've had a crush on since I fisrt met him a year ago. Ironically, a week before I met him, he got together with his current boyfriend. Anyhow, I've been listening to him talk about his trial and love and everything else that comes with relationships. I took it all in and I told him from the bottom of my heart that I will always be there for him if he ever needed to talk about anything. We got closer and closer. Needless to say, about a week ago, he called me and said (out of the blue) that he wanted to dump his "current" boyfriend and get together with me. Well, after all that suffering and waiting and more suffering, I'm on the verge of getting the boi of my dreams. Stay real to yourself and the things you want in life will come to you. Have faith. At one time I didn't. I completely lost it. It takes a lot to get it back.
