It seems as if Angie is an info source with no opinion or input for this list. Maybe I'm jumping to conclusions because I haven't gotten used to this whole publicist type thing, I'm not trying to put ANYONE on a guilt trip, but I think every AP who has gotten Poe airplay deserves a huge thank you... sorry if I sound a bit mixed up I almost got beaten up by a dead beaver last night... but I think that Dan, Sp00k, Jarrod, (anyone that I left out) who has done a lot of shit for Poe, the chat (although my stupid computer STILL cannot get me in it), and this list deserve a big thank you, they have my thanks. Um so yeah, I guess Angie's opinion or voice would do this list a lot of good, because I'd rather have her as an AP with a voice rather than an info source doing nothing but spitting out information every once in a while. She will not talk to me in any way, shape or form. And Poe indicated from the echo and the email she sent me announcing her decision that everything has to go thru Angie. Please do not misunderstand MY intentions, everyone. I do not want to "get rid of" Angie. I would be happy to use her as the "point person" for the APs. The fact that she and Johnny are long time friends and that gives her direct access to Poe!!! That is something that we, as APs have not had since Dean left! If you guys review my posts about Angie from her first day hear you will see that I have at ALL times, and I STILL support Angie for the role that she was hired for and for the position that Poe has put her in. There is not a Psycho among us that has access to Poe the way that Angie reportedly has now. She obviously has Poe's support. ANGIE is not the problem! If Atlantic or Patrick or Poe tells her to report something she does it, IMMEDIATELY! When Robby posted yesterday that the college tour was canceled I immediately emailed her manager and Angie and asked them what was going on. I had talked to Poe's booking agent within days and they told me the contracts were signed and the tour was being routed. The dates would be released within a few days. Patrick emailed Angie and I that the tour was a go for the dates Angie listed. Respecting Poe's request that all news come from Angie I was curious to see how long it would take her to announce it to us, and I am pleased to say it was less then 10 minutes! So let me make it clear that Angie is NOT the problem! As the prison boss in Cool Hand Luke said so well: " What we have HERE is .....failure to communicate!" That comes from ALL of us, Poe is not hearing us, we are not hearing her, I believe Angie will report all she is told to but she hasn't figured out how to TALK with us and we haven't figured out how to talk to her, how to COMMUNICATE! She is a spin person, she is trained to go on for 20 minutes and not say a word and she does that WELL! Look at all the posts Angie has made in the last month and she hasn't TOLD us ANYTHING! That is the job of a publicist, keep her clients name in the public while not allowing ANY controversy to be attached to the client's name. That is her JOB! As a person I have found Angie to be loving, kind and considerate with everyone ( INCLUDING me up till 9/20). While she knows little about Poe, it is obvious to me that she really CARES about Poe and likes her. I do not doubt that, if we have not and do not chase her away, that Angie will become a WONDERFUL addition to our Psycho family. All we are dealing with here is, not a 5 1/2 minute hallway, rather I a 17 day hallway, but I believe we can see the end and I believe that with communication we can build a better home for us all! Angie, if I have done anything to hurt you I am sorry. That is not my intent. I want you to stay, but I have no intention of going away to make room for you, so let's talk! Let's have coffee, I'll buy! But let's COMMUNICATE! ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 6 Oct 2001 14:50:50 EDT From: KrodKnid@aol.com Subject: Re: NPR: the 'ass' In a message dated 10/6/2001 2:16:59 PM Eastern Daylight Time, icecoldprincess@hotmail.com writes: > Okay...gehtto booty could work :) > > ~Shelley and her ghetto booty >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Hehehe...Baby got back! ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 06 Oct 2001 19:29:13 +0000 From: "Lani Urreta" Subject: Re: npr...*erm* Well ello. I love RS's mixing of other people's songs too, like Cranes "Jewel". ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 06 Oct 2001 21:39:41 -0400 From: angie Subject: Re: NPR: Cure RS...He used to be Siouxsie's guitar player (Siouxsie and the Banshees.) I hear he's completely quiet if you're meeting with him. He just offers a smoke and sits quietly...silent really. I saw many of their shows and in one, I fell down because with the lasers and fog machine combined, I had no sense of where the ground was. I liked it. No equilibrium to speak of. My ma always bought David Bowie albums and saw "The Cure In Orange" 6 or 7 times when it was playing at the Bluebird in Colorado. (Theatre where you can drink and smoke.) Probably not smoke anymore though. (Thanks Boulder for startin' that trend.....CA is non-smoking too. Pretty soon there will be no a talking or drinking law passed in nightclubs.) Simon, on bass, doesn't speak much because he's got a stutter or some type of speech impediment. I've always liked the Cure. I know they refused doing a remake of something that involved cats or milk with Banana Rama in the 80's. Good idea. (RS loves cats and they thought they'd get in on that. He knew better ) WHat's his love of Betty Boop? Anyone have details.....?? We ARE here because of her ... but we are her fans.. not her subjects. And we did not elect Angie to speak for us. Poe wants her to speak for her.. fine.... but an AP should speak for the APs. I know Poe is busy and can't have a personal relationship with each and every one of us. I have never met her ... but I feel like I have from the information shared thru THIS list. I have yet to get one tidbit of info about Poe from Angie. The only email I have received is " do this " Guess what ? I was already " doing that ". I have never met anyone from this list in person.. but I know quite a bit about several of you.. and I'll bet most of you know that I live in Alaska , I have 5 children and I have a big mouth :-) I know nothing about Angie or her relationship with Poe , except that she has taken over. That is fine on p-o-e.com ... Atlantic owns that.. so they can elect whomever they wish. But I don't think it is okay here . However, I don't own this list .. so that is really not my place to say either. I am just expressing my opinion , and frankly, I got quite a few responses echoing it. I don't feel like Dan or Dean or Jarrod ever " led " us ... but their involvement was personal and in the best interest of both the AP's and Poe. In the big picture , it is my objective to promote Poe because I love her music and think everyone should hear it. My personal objective is to get Poe to Alaska . I spend countless hours talking about Poe to locals , making requests ( with success ) , and getting the word out to whoever will listen. ( I also request to the stations Ap's post )Dan has always given me contact info , sent me pictures , information ... hell, he even offered to fly me to LA so I could attend a concert. THAT is someone who cares about AP's. He doesn't know me from Adam's houscat.( and I don't have the great ass Bridget does, so I know that's not it ) :-) Anyhow, I don't mean to attack Angie personally , and if I have done that I apologize. And it is fine if people don't agree with my point of view. I am just sharing how I feel. ~jez ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 7 Oct 2001 01:29:47 EDT From: GabriKn@aol.com Subject: Re: POE DATES Time to go back to New Haven if you ask me!
