I don't think people in general want violence, I think the majority of people really want peace, But honestly violence is not the answer? Without military and police pacifists and those so opposed to non violence would have no safety. They would be taken advantage of and persecuted by those that DON'T follow the happy shiny people mentality. If we had never gone to war when Japan bombed pearl harbor, if we had said violence is not the answer. If everyone cried and turned to pacifism after reading johnny got his gun. Where would Hitler be today?, Where would Stalin be today. Where would Sadam be today?... Probably in America or in the least. They would be the Superpower of the world instead of America. War and violence are very necessary. It takes violence to fight violence. If someone has the mindset and capability to do you or your family violence they don't care about shiny happy thoughts. If two people are out shopping and some criminal comes up punches the other person in the face or worse stabs them and takes your packages. As a pacifist you could stand there and beg for mercy, can't we all just get along? Please don't hurt me i didn't do anything to you. From Chaos comes order, From War Comes peace. The sword is needed in order to preserve the pen. What does pacifism=victim. Innocent citizens caught in middle of a civil war, what are they? Victims. Why? they choose not to fight. Let's start with that signature line! Lot's of people DO use guns on themselves, it is a violent act that is against the law, it is called suicide. In the late stages of life, for some, it may be a blessing, but when committed by someone with a life to lead, it is violence that effects ALL those around them. How can you claim to be for PEACE, and post a violent message like that? Now you and I have been getting along fine for more than a few years it would seem, and I hold you no ill will for your views. Yesterday, when I woke, as it has been since 911, my first thought went to the voice mail message of the young wife from California calling her husband in tears to say that she was trapped in the building, and that she loved him. I wondered about her husband, and all the others who got these final messages from loved ones. Nice way to wake up eh? Sometimes I wake up two or three times, each time its a different 911 scene. Oh, I suppose I could real quick make a switch to something more pleasant, like maybe Poe at the RRHOF, but somehow that doesn't make the minds VCR shut down the images of the humans trapped in that building, who chose the "PEACE" of jumping to their death over the terror of burning alive. They awarded Purple Hearts yesterday to those killed in the attack on the Pentagon. I haven't said anything about that aspect of this. I guess in part, because I can give it a place in reality that makes some kind of sense. Just as our ships were the target of the enemy at Pearl Harbor, so was the Pentagon in the 911 attack. A sneak attack, an act of war, inflicted on warriors, who are in reality "Peace Keepers" who in their own way will restore the "PEACE" They also gave out a new medal yesterday, the "Defense Of Freedom Medal" for those civilians killed in the attack on the Pentagon. http://dailynews.yahoo.com/h/p/nm/20010927/ts/mdf59379.html How many more will be given out to civilians? While you are busy making a call for "PEACE" terrorists remain active on U.S. soil, prepared to make their next move. You should be careful that YOU do not make yourself a target of the next wave of anger that will result if their is another attack on U.S. soil. I have to wonder, is there anything these closed minded "people" can do that you might find appalling enough to touch you? sp00k etc ... I don't feel it's worth fighting over...I will just lay out my opinions 1) I am a pacifist, yes...If someone causes you harm or does you wrong, the better man does NOT fall down to the same level as the attacker. The better man will find a way to resolve issues that do NOT result in loss of life. 2) I consider these attacks as nothing more then people standing up to their bully. the US of A IS the bully of this earth. We try to force our opions on others, and try to alter other's way of life in order to try and better our own. This is NOT right. If another country thinks differently then we do, we have NO, I repeat NO right to interfer, unless asked. You ever wonder why people hate us? we are fucking bullies, we are the opressors of this world. Hell, I've lived in this country my entire life, and I hate our government with a passion. which leads me to my next point... 3) I am an anarchist. I have read all the literature, I have soul searched, and dispite whatever anyone else may think, I know what I believe. I believe in the rights of everyman, NOT just those "privlaged" enough to be born in the USA. Our blind nationalism, and our "holier then now" attitude of this country makes me want to fucking vomit. America's ego is too large, and it's time someone popped our bubble. 4) The sig that I have from JTHM IS an anti-violence statement. He is saying it will be a better society if people didn't use guns on other people, if people wanted to use a gun on another human being, it would be better for them to kill themselves. and also JTHM is a CARTOON PEOPLE!! "one who uses VIOLENT means to overthrow the established order." You are the most angry "pacifist" I have ever encountered, AND you cuss like a sailor, most of the peace loving people I know would be knocked over by your words.
