Firstly, your 'evening as a patron'. While you might and obviously do care, chances are GROSSLY in favor of apathy. This I know from experience on both sides. Secondly, the bar. I've never heard of a bar being shut down for one incident. Multiple incidents, yes, but that is a cumulative effect and not an immediate one, while you seem to be asserting that it is. > > This seems to be leaking into my other societal rant about how parents no > longer teach their children about accepting responsibility and the > potentail consequences for their actions. You seem to be arguing quite passionately for your point of view -- one might even say with the power of conviction. Why don't we talk about the needs of others to coerce others to conform to their points of view about how children should be raised, and who's to blame? Children are not doe-eyed little elves until they turn eighteen (or twenty one if you wish), and then magically turn into full fledged, functional adults in a puff of fairy smoke. And yes, before you point out the glaringly obvious, I'm quite aware (and comfortable) in my own hypocrisy in trying to make YOU conform to MY views about the above. > > > > > it. But fortunately for me I didn't evolve into a social recluse; the time spent out of the house and absorbing culture was well spent, in my opinion. Books are great, but they are not the end-all of an education. Besides, I never said what I did; perhaps sneaking into bars was not the only sneaking I did. There is a law that women cannot parachute on Sunday, that is yet another "moral" but stupid law. Don't be so quick to judge, I only posted one thing and you judged me as a child who grew up with irresponsible parents who don't give a shit what I do. What exactly DID you do when you were young? Kids don't tell their parents EVERYTHING, and I'm sure that half of the people that snuck into bars did it with unknowing parents. Not everyone's parents are like yours. Some clubs or bars allow people under 21 to enter when a band or musician comes to play and simply mark a big ass X on their hand. It's embarrassing, but better than nothing. But yeah, definately check on if you can use props. We had to compromise, we could use rice, TP, toast, cards, etc, etc but no water or fire. je t'aime, LB "You haven't truly made it until your head is on a pez dispenser." Any info. would be greatly appreciated...<< My dad is from Kansas City and I've been to visit many times. No visit to KC is complete without going to Gates BBQ, the BEST BBQ in the world!!! We go there every day when we visit, it is absolutely scrumptous. They have about 3 or 4 locations in the KC area so asking around should merit results.... I repeat, do not miss Gates if you're a BBQ fan! And be sure to bring some sauce home... Best Courtney "I have no regrets There's nothing to forget All the pain was worth it.
