Look I am one of the FNG's (f***ing new guys for those that did not know hehhehe) but it seems like this entire situation between the regional moderators/camp organizers/cult leaders/who gives a rat hind parts anyway? and Sp00k has gone way outta control. Sorry for this late post but I just now have the time to respond... This seems to have come to a head because us AP's in Portland have a desire to see each other. What in itself is wrong with that? I am inviting Sp00k to come here for the weekend and share in this-look, the point is that we all share a common love of Poe, right? So it seems to me that there is some underlying reason why this has gotten ugly. I don't know if it is a power control kinda thing, but if this is the sort of behavior that we can expect from each other, well, no offense kids, but I would rather experience Poe alone than have to listen to bitter acrimony. Then replaced. The problem with MTV is that it's gone from being a channel whose content is dictated by the tastes of its viewers, to dictating the tastes of its viewers. And I believe that they have made truly tasteless choices in what to make popular. I find it absofuckingLUTELY ridiculous that (M)usic (T)ele(V)ision has filled up with bullshit shows and repeats of the same 10 videos (TRL) to the point where a second channel is needed just to handle all the REAL content. Yes, I'm bitter. > \ > Remote control Rocked! > Ken Ober forever, > Sharmel Remote Control was pretty decent, comparatively. I have no objection to a FEW non-music-related shows, but for their time to outweigh or even closely rival the time spent playing MUSIC related stuff... Even shows like Diary are better -- they're pretty much nothing but an elaborate pamphlet to sell you on the artist -- I have never seen anything of worth mentioned in that show -- but hey, at least it's MUSIC related. End rant. ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 6 Sep 2001 01:05:42 -0400 From: "j." Subject: Re: NPR-Re: NPR: Spyder Games I remember Dead At 21, I thought it was pretty decent.
