I've seen a lot of fights started and ended. I've seen a lot of grudges brought out in private and in public. I've seen a lot of bad trades (NEVER EVER trade with me, that's not a joke, I suck at trades...) I've seen TONS of NPR comments, tons of t shirts, tons of people trying to be nice and tons of people that are apparently either not getting enough out of the list, or not getting enough out of POE personally. The regional Angry Psychos groups were once a GREAT asset to the OSAPs (Old School Angry Psychos). People like Jarrod Kniff and Robby Black organized the nation and coordinated events that made the AP family better and stronger than ever before. After the Vegas APs met, suddenly there were the elitists who KNEW each other, and those of us who only met online. Then came other events and others meeting each other. Then things started to get a bit uglier. Things became unglued. Ever since that point, I've made it a part of my AP duties to try to assist in as many ways possible to get as many Angry Psychos together as possible in any given place. For the last two "tours" I've had the now infamous "Erik's List" to assist event coordinators with their tasks. The "new" regional AP groups make that job easier for me. The people that I've seen utilizing those lists are developing their own communities within the big community. Sure, they have titles. Hell, you want a democracy? We could hold an election. I nominate Jarrod Kniff to be president and founding father, Michele Santiago to be Vice President and Secretary of the State of All Things Poe. I nominate Tim Dube and Mark Loit to be Chairmen of the Joint Chiefs of Poe. I nominate Dan Mohrbacher and Angie Seevers to be Majority and Minority Leaders in the Poe congress. Let's see how many votes we can get out of the Angry Psychos? No, that's a really really stupid idea. That'd give people power over other people. That'd show the world falling out of the disorder that's so obviously comfortable to some... How about this? Why don't instead of we having people in "elected office" we let the regional people do what they want. We let the people pissed off about there being regional people do what they want. And we all just give peace a chance.... And if you all don't start giving peace a chance, I'll invite people like Xeno back to the list to make it ugly for EVERYONE.... or maybe i'll just let some classic eXej come out for a while. i'm sure that'd manage to piss the lot of you off. - --------------- This message is a Public Service Announcement brought to you by ShellE Productions. Well I don't care how old Joan is, she's HOT, and put on one of the best concerts I've ever seen in my entire life. I used to literally run home from school when I was a little kid to catch Joan's and Pat Benetar's videos, and I saw her about 3 years ago for the first time! My last letter to you was because it appeared that your intentions were more to insult people than to state an intelligent opinion. Also, I do not care if people talk about other things than Poe, but who really wants to talk about how many dress sizes you lost last month? As far as the other two people mentioning their sizes (12 and 3), I did not think they were being nearly as rude as you were. However, I could careless what size they wear as well. My final point! Enough of this petty squabble! It is insulting everyone's intelligence, so can we move on please? I am an angry psycho first and foremost, and I am sick to death of all the in-fighting. I'm sorry that I happened to send my previous email from an account that I primarily use for recruitment to the regional list and ruffled your feathers with my signature line. Participation in the regional groups is completely voluntary, and to my knowledge, has never been represented as anything but that. If you don't want to participate, don't join and leave it at that. Simple enough. You're right, this list has been unmoderated for years. However, the list has also grown substantially over the past year, and if this past week has been any indication of how well the list works to resolve any issues that arise, so be it. However, I still feel the tenor of late has been petty, hostile, and very unsupportive of the main reason we are all here...POE Bren ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 4 Sep 2001 00:15:16 -0400 From: "sp00k@poe.org" Subject: Re: Give Peace a Chance - ----- Original Message ----- From: To: Sent: Monday, September 03, 2001 10:56 PM Subject: NPR: Give Peace a Chance I nominate Jarrod Kniff to be president and founding > father, If Jarrod & Poe.Org had gotten any respect 11 months ago, we wouldn't be where we are today, holding a bunch of now defunct regional Poe Balls. sp00k etc ...
