I'm 19, and I live in Kansas. I first heard Poe on the radio four or five years ago. It was either Hello, Trigger Happy Jack, or Angry Johnny (I'm not sure which, but I loved all three), but I couldn't find the album, so I gave up=( Then about three months ago, I heard about Haunted, so I rushed out and bought it. About two days later, I bought Hello. They are both awesome albums, and I can't wait for more=) I listen to all kinds of music, so in the interest of not typing five or six screens, I won't go into that. I play bass and guitar, but not very well;) Ummmm I think that's about it for now, cuz it's time for me to go to bed;) C-yall later. Make international calls for as low as $.04/minute with Yahoo! For example, there was never a MWAP productive group in the past outside of St. Louis... and PA used to have PennAP (or PAP depending on the era) and Ohio had the OAPs, PA is now a part of the M-AAP and OAPs are more than welcome to join the MWAP... I personally think I'm going to join the WTHIAATTAPs (wherever the hell i am at the time angry psychos) and the OSAP group will always be in full effect.... In other words... You can keep your OAP status, your membership card, your finger as official bird, all that stuff... but if it comes down to regional planning, the people that organized the new regions (THANK YOU!) made it a bit more logical than state to state.... I'm sensing some...tension (not just from you, KrodKnid, yours just happened to be the post I hit my 'reply' button on). From what I understand, one of the purposes of redefining some of the regional AP groups was to unite larger groups of people than just having certain states isolate themselves. OAPs can still do their thing, PAPs can still do their thing, but in the larger scheme of things, they are part of larger regional groups. I was under the impression that OAP would sort of be like a "chapter" of MWAP, and PAPs could be a chapter of M-AAP (I'm a PAP myself). One of the problems with the regional thing is trying to find the balance between making the groups too large or too small. And the problem with that is that that's more a matter of personal preference than anything else. I live in central PA, near Hershey/Harrisburg, but I visit and hang out with friends in Baltimore, Washington D.C., Philadelphia, New York City, and parts of New Jersey *on a regular basis*. But you know something? I still think using the entire state of Pennsylvania as a regional group is a little broad, because depending on the time of year, Pittsburgh and Erie are just too far for me to go. That's why I think this narrowing down of things is kind of nice. First and foremost, I am an Angry Psycho. But I'm also a Mid-Atlantic Angry Psycho. And a Pennsylvania Angry Psycho. (And even a Central Pennsylvania Angry Psycho, and so on, and so forth.) I suppose I'm just not fully comprehending some of the opposition to this attempt to organize some of the regional AP groups. So far all that's really been done is that the country has been divided up into fairly equal sections geographically, and mailing lists/administrators have been set up for each region. Obviously, if the majority of the populus in M-AAP lives in Pennsylvania, efforts can be concentrated there. A person can be a PAP and a M-AAP and an AP all at the same time. I don't want to speak for all the regional leader-folk here; I'm just offering my point of view. I'm open to constructive criticism, questions, and comments. :) ===== Shanna Hollich - Shadow123@poe.org AOL IM: RHFoJO shadow123.diaryland.com NO S N B- C~ L- O++ CV Make international calls for as low as $.04/minute with Yahoo! I went to my local used cd store and bought the "Haunted" cd and have not stop listening to it since. I then purchased the "Hello" cd, I had heard the "Angry Johnny: song when they played it way back when, but I did not pay much arttention to the radio. Now, I remember how awesome her music was!
