Okay, so this has nothing to do with poe, but I thought it might amuse you I ended up in the hospital for four hours last night because I got really drunk and tried to refill my butane lighter. I ended up spilling a whole bunch of butane in my sink and on my hand without really noticing, so when I went to flick the lighter there was a sonic boom type fireball that ravaged my kitchen. Anyway, long story short, no damage to the apartment, but I did get second degree burns on both arms and one hand, and I singed my eyebrows and eyelashes. I'm on quite a bit of Vicatin right now though, so it's really not bothering me too much. Anyways, I hope that makes all of you feel better about any horribly idiotic things you've done this week. I would like to be an instigator to finally organize the regional APs. I would like to know if all of the regional AP groups are on Yahoo clubs. If not, why not it would be the fastest and easiest ways to: 1. Communicate within each segmented group. 2. Recruit new members browsing Yahoo clubs. 3. See the regions in an organized format. If the following list are the groups, what do you all think about putting them up on Yahoo under (Music > Genres > Rock and Pop > Artists > Complete Category Listing > Poe>)Wouldn't it be easier if they were all in one place? As there are already specific organizers (Brendels, Tonycu, mother, etc.)I guess I am asking your thoughts specifically on this issue. But if all of the groups are under the same directories newcommers can see and choose from groups in one location? Please respond to me directly as I am on the digest and I would have to wait until tomorrow to hear the response. P.S. I would be happy to help organize or moderate a board for the NEAP's as I live in RI, work in MA, recently moved from ME and my family lives in VT (so I get around the area a lot). NEAP - northeast - leaders MIA, not sure where the Y! group is > MAAP - mid-Atlantic - needs a leader > OAP - Ohio - mother@poe.org (hasn't been around lately) > SEAP - southeast - rusty@poe.org - focus on Atlanta > http://groups.yahoo.com/group/AngryPsychos > MWAP - midwest - tonycu@earthlink.com - states undefined > SOAP - southern - BRENDLES@prodigy.net - states undefined Y! group list appears to be in limbo > WCAP - west coast - needs a leader, probably should be split in half at this point > http://groups.yahoo.com/group/WCAP ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 13 Aug 2001 08:04:24 -0700 (PDT) From: Benjamin uong Subject: NPR: Re: AP's in New England? Oh my god!! I just read your story and started cracking up...it reminds me of the time my best friend was REALLY drunk at my house while we were fooling around with a Furby. Out of nowhere the Furby started freaking out, muttering like a madman and shaking uncontrollably, and although I thought it was hillarious watching the Furby have a mechanical breakdown, my friend was bugging out, scared as all hell (she thought it was possesed). So she goes into the kitchen and grabs a steak knife and tries to open the compartment that holds the batteries- but in her drunken state the knife slips off the Furby and makes a 3-inch gash in her palm. Then, at the sight of her hand split open and all the blood everywhere, she started puking all over the place.... It turned out ok though, because she felt bad about hurling on my floor so she shared her Percosets with me... ;) Hope your arms get better and thanks for sharing the story!!!
