In accordance to what Peggy said, it is true, that to make a spoof, people are going to have to know what song you're poking fun at; So the song has to be a 'good', well-recognized one! So, although it may seem like a double-diss, perhaps it is in some twisted way a compliment! I first heard of Poe sometime between December and April. I heard one of her somgs on the radio nad have been a fan since then. I just recently saw her in concert(well more like the sound check.) She had such engery and I cant even imagine what the actual show was like. Days later I went out and bought both of her cds and am glad I did. Also being new to the Angry Psyhco mailing list I wasn`t sure what to expect. I`m amazed at the conversations you have! Well I`m Sarah L. and I can`t wait to really get into it. cya! _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 23 Jul 2001 16:27:36 -0700 (PDT) From: Lok Tina Subject: Re: Hey Pretty spoof Its no illegal to do spoofs... But just recently my g/f and I have decided to get together with another couple and do some "group" activities. And there was this thing I wanted to try, sort of an alternative stimulation. It involves the neck and repeatedly closing the airpipe, almost like strangulation, but it is pleasureable. The following web quiz was recommended to me by a fellow attendee at the HOL discussion group last week in Dallas. www.beliefnet.com/features/beliefomatic If you are like me, I have a firm grasp of my spiritual/religious beliefs, but have no idea of what religion really feels the same as I do. Well this quiz asks you 20 questions about your beliefs, then matches them with 27 different religions/groups in order of closest match. I took the quiz, found several that were close, and am now learning more about the different religions through the website's online resources. It's quick, fun and for me, very educational. If anyone else tries it, drop me a line and let me know what you thought of it! ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 23 Jul 2001 17:06:21 -0700 From: "Tim Dube" Subject: Re: NPR- OKAY...What was the LAST CD you purchased? Sorry I have not been answering... Paul Fishkin's Dad died in Philly over the weekend. As some of you know I had to leave Dallas early to be with my son. Two of his friends were among the four firefighters killed in a wildland fire in the north part of Washington State. He was pretty close to one of them, she had graduated from his high school last year and ha been a firefighter less then 8 weeks. We have the memorial service for all four tomorrow afternoon and then things should get back to some form of normalcy. To be very honest with you I know that I must have let some things slip over the last week or so dealing with all this "stuff". I apologize if I let anyone down. I am on top of the passes for Portland, The Gorge, Shoreline and LA. I do not have all my notes with me, so if anyone was expecting to hear from me about tickets and you do not get email from me by noon tomorrow PLEASE, PLEASE email me and remind me. I know this set of notes I have with me is not complete!! I will try to get hold of Patrick and find out what is up with Poe events for the rest of the tour and let you know whatever I can find out. ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 23 Jul 2001 18:25:07 -0600 From: "... ..."
