To minimize this for the remainder of the tour and beyond, I offer this list of essentials that PsYcHoS need for going to an AP party or Poe concert. Old schoolers - we have done these so many times, we know what's up, so let's help out the young'uns ;) If you can add anything I forgot, please do so. ESSENTIALS: cell phones and/or phone cards (it has been found often that not being able to find poeple is the main problem, and this would help so much) Hello My Name Is name tags (so I can figure out who you are in pictures!!) sharpies (permanent markers, for signings. Must be plural, for Poe eats them like mad.) camera (preferrably disposable, so no big deal if it's taken) autographed picture of *yourself* for Poe CORRECT directions to PsYcHo party know the lyrics to Walk The Walk (more applicable for next tour) RECOMMENDED: p+E balls (inflatable to get past the ticket checkers) a sign (make sure you can fold it so you can get it past the ticket checkers) ~~~~~~~AP flyers~~~~~ Letter to p+E or whoever else AP shirt (and make sure to have the other PsYcHoS sign it, so have a sharpie handy) some form of recorder with *spare batteries* and tape - if using a mic, make sure it's in MIC IN and NOT the headphone jack!!!@$#*&$(*#@&$ big socks or Big Arse Coat with Lots of Pockets (c) 1997 ej for hiding stuff in - --Michele Open for trades! http://trade.shelle.org/ Got promos, bootlegs, or MP3s of your favorite artist? Hey Psychos, I was thinking that the APs need an official hand sign/signal/gester or whatnot. It would be cool to have one to let POE and each othet know that we are APs. I suggest the following (and if this has been done already I apologize): Make an 'OK' with your right hand but keep your middle, ring, and pinky fingers straight. Then turn your hand away from you so your middle, ring, and pinky finger are pointing straight down with your thumb and index finger away from you. From the front it looks somewhat like the letter 'P.' The other ones seemed scary in the dark but this one, at times, seemed comical. They made fun of the previous versions. They did leave an opening for another movie though...(this won't spoil it so don't worry!). Spoof on!!! - ---Original Message---- Has anyone heard DC101's spoof of Hey Pretty? They're using it for some promo - they make fun of Mark's text and Poe's lyrics - turning it into a song about a junker car. (The promo is that they're giving away a new car.) I'm almost ashamed to admit that I laughed at the spoof. I'm ambivalent tho' - - in some ways it seems disrespectful and I wonder if an artist has to give permission for something like that. In other ways it seems like a nod to Poe for having a really popular song (not that DC101 plays it all that much) - - I mean, the spoof wouldn't be funny if people didn't recognize the song, right? I was into the glam metal back then, and I thought they were really cool cus' there really weren't a lot of girl bands at the time. (except L7 and Phantom blue) and I wanted to be a rock star, so it was nice to see proof that it could be done. As for the Hey Pretty spoof, is there any one out there that can get it recorded and maybe upload it to poe.navelsex.com. it would be interesting to hear.
