SINCE then i have dreamed about him twice...once this morning...long dreams that are just centered around him and being with him...i rarely have such dreams. (in which there is a specific person in it, or "themed") and then i think, what if its some higher power telling me i have a second chance...but i feel that Julio really represents something else and i can't figure out what it is. its so hard for me to analyze my own dreams. and sometimes writing it down helps me get a better perspective ...but this has not. i think maybe its something that i don't want to see and so i'm blocking it from myself? anyone who has a quick moment and maybe sees something that i don't...please email me. i feel like i'm going to go insane if i can't figure this out. something else i feel is important is that i feel i missed out on a great relationship with Julio because i was too chicken to admit that i liked him. (b/c admitting that makes me feel vulnerable) but i don't understand why this would just spring up out of no where. anyone who feel they can help let me know!!!!!!!!! love, shari ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 21 Jul 2001 12:54:48 EDT From: Prozackitty16@aol.com Subject: How Poe found her fathers boxed voice.... Welfare is stupid because it does not help. THis is one more thing that most economists agree is a stupid idea, yet the government keeps supporting. Historically the poverty rate in the US was diminishing at a fast rate. Then welfare was introduced and the poverty rate froze, and hasn't improved since. Welfare does not give people a jump start, it makes them completely dependent on the govenrment. The fact is people who start on welfare tend to stay on welfare. If I saw any evidence at all that it would help society I would support it in full. Its a nice fantasy to think we are providing for the less fortunate. Hope all is well. It has been a long time since I have posted. I recently saw POE at the Philadelphia show. I was so happy to see her play to so many people, but feel that most of the people there may have missed "it." On another note: I was recently reading "The Spiral Dance" which is a wiccan book written by Starhawk and found this great reference to Anton Ehrenzweig's term Poemagogic. The reference follows some discussion on the Godess religion and the term is used to describe the special function of inducing and symbolizing the ego's creativity, having a dreamlike "slippery" quality. One aspect of creativity slips into another and that the Godess, symbolizing earth and all her creative aspects, is constantly changing form and face. Her images do not define or pin down a set of attributes; they spark inspiration, creation, fertility of mind and spirit: one thing becomes another. I really couldn't help but think about Poe and her brother and all the imagery in the "House of Leaves", as well as "Haunted." Coincidental that the basic story HOL ending finds Navidson and his family celebrating Halloween? (The most celebrated Wiccan Holiday that's real meaning of celebration is reincarnation and multidimensional planes) ...I think not. It is very much ashame for all of the misunderstanding "the nature religion" suffers as its aspects are so greatly misunderstood. I may be reaching here, but I don't think so, because it takes one to know/recognize one! Have a great summer.
