However, that part alone was being auctioned on eBay quite some time ago. So, when the guy says in the description "acquired in person in 2000" my guess is either he bought the real autograph back then, got it from the seller in person, ;P and then put the thing on that cheap guitar to try to make tons off of it. Or, he simply printed it out and attached it, which would be pathetic. The autographs are cute though, it is signed by most of the Jezebel In Hell touring band...if I find the original pic I'll upload it somewhere. - --Michele Open for trades! http://trade.shelle.org/ Got promos, bootlegs, or MP3s of your favorite artist? Okay ... how do I explain this ... do we all know how radio stations have self-promoting advertisements on their stations, and they sometimes take sound clips from movies and whatnot and incorporate them into the add? Well, on 103.1 out of West Palm, they've put the part with Poe's father saying "it's a wonderful idea ... ." Which ... come to think of it ... I don't even think they play Poe anyhow! Eveil radio station ... ((but they have played less Limp Bizkit, I have noticed)). And also, I went to the mall, and in Wet Seal, where they have like, 30 tv's behind the counter, the Hey Pretty video was playing! And that's been the first time I've seen the vid outside of my comp. So ... YAY Poe, for getting played in this festeringly heated place. It is so hot here. There is no breeze blowing at all outside. I first heard Poe when I was in sixth grade, and my best friend's older sister had Hello and we were listening to it in the car. Hello was the first real CD I ever bought (before that I had Hanson and BSB, but they don't count as real music) and as far as I'm concerned it delivered me! thank god! I don't know where I would be without it. anyways, as soon as I got the cd I became a hard-core fan. back then nobody but me and my two close friends had ever even heard of her. we were the only people in georgetown who knew who she was. but after four years our of pioneering the circle of Poe fans at our school is now much bigger. Hello was the first cd I ever bought and it is still one of my favorites. last november we had the pleasure of meeting Poe and her brother on the Borders tour. it was past midnight when we finally got to her, but she was still so nice and funny and took time to personalize everything she signed. and after all those years she was everything I expected her to be and more. it was so rewarding. and Mark was also really interesting, after the signing I bought House of Leaves and read it, it was one of the best things I have ever read in my life. some of the other things I listen to are Elliot Smith, Beck, the Dandy Warhols, the Hippos, and Bob Schneider (an Austin native, woo hoo!). as far as more main stream stuff goes, the red hot chili peppers are my favorite band, and I'm a veteran fan of Bush and have been since fifth grade. John Frusciante, the guitarist for the chili peppers, has several solo albums and they are genius. oh yeah, how could I forget, Weezer! they are the greatest! anyways... enough of that crap. whatever! *Lesley* ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 8 Jun 2001 18:05:06 EDT From: KrodKnid@aol.com Subject: Re: Tons of New POE photos In a message dated 6/8/2001 3:11:52 PM Eastern Daylight Time, tgrabler@hotmail.com writes: > Hello Psychos!!!!! > > > I just wanted to say that these pictures are Awesome! Fuck them. If you're going to forward something, at least send me something mildly amusing. I've seen all the "send this to 50 of your closest friends, and this poor, wretched excuse for a human being will somehow receive a nickel from some omniscient being" forwards about 90 times. I don't fucking care. Show a little intelligence and think about what you're actually contributing to by sending out these forwards. Chances are, it's your own unpopularity. The point being? If you get some chain letter that's threatening to leave you shagless or luckless for the rest of your life, DELETE IT. If it's funny, send it on. Don't piss people off by making them feel guilty about a leper in Botswana with no teeth who has been tied to a dead elephant for 27 years and whose only salvation is the 5 cents per letter he'll receive if you forward this email, lest he end up like Miranda.
