Fluffy Waffle, hey I know you don't really like or appreciate all of the conversation on here that does not relate to Poe, but as for me I do. I'm not saying this to try and start an argument with you, but you have to admit this a good medium to have a personal discussion about a volatile subject like abortion. Just take a look at how diversified our list is, and you'll see what I mean. We have all walks of life on here from the formally educated to the barely educated, from the older crowd to the younger ones, and from the religious to the atheist. Most of the time I sit back and just read the posts, because there are many on here who share a lot of the same ideas and opinions that I do, and they will post a response about something that like or dislike that conveys my sentiments before I can. This topic, however, is a very appropriate one for discussion on here since it will quite possibly affect many of the people on here at sometime. Some of the posters have experienced the trials and tribulations of abortion, and offer valuable insight. I know I came to this topic with firmly entrenched ideas and convictions only to review the credibility of some of them. I do believe that it is a woman's body, and it should be her decision what she does with it. After all, she is the one who has to climb up on that table. Another point that I have yet to see discussed is how radical some people can be towards beliefs. I mean some people abhor abortion no matter what the reason, and some of these same people deem that it is ok to take lives (blowing up clinics, and killing doctors that provide them) in the name of God (and they say this and somehow keep a straight face). I wonder...........just what kind of god it is that they worship that allows them to become the arbitrator of someone else's life. I have learned much about many different topics on here, so I am always open to new and invigorating topics outside the Poe domain. After all, if you look at most things with the idea that your way might not be the best way you might learn a better way. I accidently deleted my original email instructing me on how to do so, while I was deleting the hundreds of pointless emails that people send to express their own derivative opinion that they believe to be the only possible truth in some desperate attempt to edify the rest of us. Sometimes I wonder if the reason people try to force their convictions so is because they are also trying to convince themselves. Anyways on a normal day I may want to join in all the contentiousness, I simply lack the time to read all of it. And out of my own deference, I will spare the rest of you my own conjectures. The digest is looking extremely good right about now so I would be much obliged if someone could show me the way? merci beaucoup ~Aimie~ PS. LOL, sorry about how this sounds I've been studying for the SATs and have so many vocab words floating around in my head they are all I can think of. ________________________________________________________________ GET INTERNET ACCESS FROM JUNO! I used ot breed rabbits, and one of my females gave birth to a litter of 7. About a month later, she gave birth again, and ATE the second litter of 6 (how she got pregnant again is beyond me, because she was not in a cage with any other rabbit). Well, half of their bodies, anyway. Incredibly disgusting, and very sad. But it was either the new litter or the first litter had to go. She could not have supported all 13 of them. She knew that. The first 7 were learning to eat solid foods, but they were still in the cage with her, and getting milk from her. Something instinctive told her to kill off the second litter. Had I been there before she maimed them, I would have removed the first litter to a cage for themselves, and hope they could get along fine on solid food only, which ideally, they should, but not all of them had quite got the hang of it. Then, perhaps she would have kept the second litter. I don't know. But she felt that there way too many kits to feed, and so she did something about it, to ensure the survival of the ones that had already been living with her, and being nourished by her. She was a great mother, but even the great ones can only take so much. First of all I think people should be a little more carefull if they dont want to get pregnant, but these things happen! But then there are situations that people cant really control, like rape. Anyway, maybe it is better to abort the baby than neglect it because you dont want it. I also think that people shouldn't be so close minded about something like this unless they have been in that kind of situation before. I wouldnt really know if i would keep the baby or abort it if i had to choose. Some people who are Pro-Life might have an abortion. You never really know until you are in that kind of situaion. Personally, i wouldnt think any less of a person if they had an abortion because it was their choice and they knew what was best for them. Stefanie C. Yahoo! Back on the right side it shows a child going to school, playing sports then a teenager graduating from high school then college and so on and so on......mean while the left side is still dirt with a hole in it. Monday is Memorial Day, a day to remember those that served our country from the revolutionary war to the campaigns in Kosovo, Bosnia and Somalia and every place Americans have stood ground defending the very freedoms we enjoy right now. Maybe someone you know, your father, mother, brother or sister has served. Remember the sacrifices made by others and show your thanks by flying Old Glory. I myself have been to countries where women would not dare talk back to a man and where there is no separation of church and state. Our country is unique in that when our head office changes power (Clinton to Bush) the Military stays out of it and a peaceful change takes place. We do have problems in this country but we also have the freedom to explore every possible solution to solve them. Memorial Day isn't another sale day, it's the day we set aside to remember the silence at role call after a battle, the empty hanger after a mission and the Tomb of the Unknown in Washington D.C. Have a great day tomorrow and remember: Freedom is not free. 3 out of 4 Americans make up 75% of the population. ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 27 May 2001 22:17:42 -0700 From: Mike Vaughn Subject: Re: 05.25.01 - ATLANTA - photos!!!!
