As long as the people there think that we are evil, the more control the Chinese G'ment has. Furthermore your interpretation of Bush is so completely based on BS Democratic Party propaganda that I'm not even going to comment. I am a libertarian, meaning I have no love for Bush. But your assessment of a man who did the best possible job in this situation is just reflecting bitterness and not clarity of thought. We got our men back, did not show any diplomatic weakness in our "apology" and the only casualty was an over-zealous Chinese pilot who intentionally (he made three passes at our plane until finally colliding) crashed into ours to get our secrets. In fact, I don't think we returned it until about three or four years ago? AND... I was kinda surprised by Bush taking such a strong stand against China, seeing as how both major parties are practically owned by corporate interests (though I guess his lie more with oil than manufacturing...), and since many multinational corporations are on good terms with China since they don't have those damn pesky "labor laws" that the US has... which means MORE PROFITS for the presidents and CEOs, etc... Also, beta2 v10 won't show all my files...it only says I have about 1/3 what I actually have. There are alternatives that I am starting to like even better than Napster though. I used iMesh for a while, but it is starting to suck now because they keep adding all kinds of advertising and "spyware" files to it trying to make $$$ from people file sharing. GNutella was great except it was an unbelievable pain in the ass to use, since you had to enter so much stuff manually and thus had to know actual port info and URL numbers. Not any more. There are a bunch of clones that use the GNutella network and are fully automated. The two best are BearShare and LimeWire. They hook-up automatically and you can queue up a s**tload of files to be downloaded and set a limit to how many DLs at once...then just sit back and watch. These programs will just keep hammering away on the queue till they connect for the DL (unless the user goes offline)...they reconnect if they time out while queued and go right after the file again. They do all manner of pix and video and program application files as well as MP3s too. There is a TON of Poe on there...even some JPGs. There is another GNutella clone called Newtella that is similar to BearShare and LimeWire, but only does MP3s. Try them out, you'll like them. ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 7 May 2001 16:41:28 EDT From: TaNkG1R1@aol.com Subject: real name What is Poe's real name? ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 7 May 2001 14:08:41 -0700 (PDT) From: "J.R. ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 7 May 2001 16:57:34 -0500 From: "Sarae Montgomery" Subject: Re: real name decatur? I don't think it necessarily denotes witchcraft, especially in today's times. Ever look at the stars Texas Rangers wear, and other judicial organizations? Some people just like the look of it. An interesting thing about the pentacle is its possible origin. Take an apple, and cut it in half down the core. Now look at the insides of the two halves, and what do you get it (if you cut it right), but a pentacle marked by the seeds. Now, what was the Tree of Knowledge in the Garden of Eden? The fruit is commonly denoted as an apple. The apple tree was for long the tree (in pre-Christian religions) of the mother or earth goddess. Now, isn't it funny how in a patriarchal religion, the forbidden tree that lead to the downfall of humanity was a symbol of the Goddess, and that the pentacle and the pentagram became a sign of evil? Just an interesting thought. :) Black Dove PS - Another thing that also became promoted as evil or unlucky was the number 13...a number sacred to the Goddess... Tori was also dating Eric Rosse at the time, they dated for 8 years. She began feeling those sparks of love and destiny with her husband, Mark Hawley, while working on the Boys for Pele album, which centered much around her break-up with Eric. I suppose there's always that possibility that there was something more between Trent and Tori, but it didn't last long, and they didn't make it public. I'll bet they were good friends, and both were probably too unstable at the time they knew each other to really pursue anything.
