Thanks FYI, darling Dedboy, I asked Poe about this song during the Borders meet-n-greet (I thought it sounded like it fit with the "Haunted" cycle of songs -- and I wanted to know if it fit into HOL somewhere), and she and Mark went on this concurrent rant, it was funny. Apparently, "Strange Wind" is two songs that the label spliced together without her permission (and then they put it on the "Anywhere But Here" soundtrack). She said if you listen closely the chorus and the lyrics make no sense in relation to each other. I did that, and I have to say, she's right. I also noticed that there are hastily-patched over gaps where they spliced the songs together. I don't think it is *that* bad of a song though. Someone recommended: >"End of Alice" ah, yes, "The End of Alice" by AM Holmes. That's a disturbing book, woah. But I liked it. Someone should really think about importing these Japanese directors to do videos.. even your average half-retarded pop star in Japan usually has GREAT, visually stunning, plot-driven videos. I'm not even going to mention that Japanese censorship laws are SO different than America's.. you can get away with showing a LOT. I have seen some pretty gory videos in my day on Japanese TV, and then there's the nudity.. wow ^^;;; If anyone's interested in checking out some videos in streaming real video (not the greatest of formats, but it works) then go to http://i.am/mp9 or try the FTP server: ftp://mp9music.dyn.dhs.org port: 21 username: realvideo password: real (the ftp server isn't always up) For those that would like to try mpeg versions (that have fast connections or don't mind the wait), check out #jpop and #jrock on dal.net (yes, where #poe resides) and sniff the fserves on there. Some of my favorite Japanese artists are Shiina (or Shena) Ringo, L'Arc~en~Ciel, hide with Spread Beaver (yes, that's a real band's name ^^;;), Gackt, Malice Mizer, Kagrra, Baiser and Bonnie Pink. They are separate from each other. The way Stella herself explained it to me was that Stella Soleil was her commercial attempt, and Sister Soleil was her more industrial-techno-pop oriented project. Sister Soleil was her first project, and though many will tell you that the band has completely disbanded, Stella said that she HAS written more material for Sister Soleil, and so I would think she is just going to do it with different band members.
