As for Staind, I don't know too much but Aaron Lewis definitely has a great singing voice...and I love the fact that he takes pride in it, ( I read an article in revolver) and doens't spend all his time screaming like some other frontmen just to sound angry. I'm a POE fan since late '97 who never thought of himself as an AP per se. I tried to find an archive of the mailing list but failed. So I hope this is not off-topic or overdone already. The phrase at the end of at least one mix of 'Hey Pretty' sounds like, 'Das nicht zu Hause sein,' which in my twenty-years-stale German could mean 'That/It is not at home.' In my mind there is some ambiguity whether this refers to a physical presence or the 'essence of being.' This would connect with the 'unheimlich' motif of POE's brother's book. Courtney comes from trailer trash. (Courtney fans, don't jump on me. She states these words herself.) She's not educated. She and no one she works with is or has been classically-trained. She may have established a level of class in her life now, but she doesn't come from culture, from an artistic, refined, educated background in ANY way, as well all know, Poe does. I think Courtney just pointed out the grand differences between herself and Poe, without insulting either of themselves. I also think she basically pointed out how, aside from both being female, they really don't share a common ground as musicians. Again, nothing wrong with that. I'm trying to find the name of a song and it's singer. I've heard parts of it on a Nissan commercial recently. The commercial shows a car sitting on a straight stretch of road watching the sunset. When the sun goes down it races ahead to watch the sunset again. I kinda remember the song from the early 90's late 80's. It's a mellow beat, I think it might be Sinade O' connor maybe. Any ideas? I am Tiffany, mostly known as Faeriefille or Fae for short online. 2. Um, I'm from Kansas City, Missouri, where I currently reside. 3. I am 27 years old (yikes! I'm halfway to 54!). 4. I first heard Poe when I heard Trigger Happy Jack a few years ago when I worked in a record store. I loved the album and used to play the promo every chance I could get in the store! We sold so many copies when I played it! 5. I am a big Tori Amos fan, not so rabid as I was for several years. Age and life situation makes me less fanatical, I guess. I love tons of music - all kinds really. I particularly like female vocalists, although I don't rule out male vocalists. Some of my favorites are Fleming & John, Sixpence None the Richer, Belly, Marry Me Jane, Sister Soleil, Ani Difranco, Catatonia totally rules!, I like Fisher, Chantal Kreviazuk - sorry to list so many, I just know I appreciate finding new musicians from other's lists... 6. I just had a baby girl who will be 6 months old this week! I know, not as exciting for others as it is for me...
