They're more of a retro-ambient-alternative. They have a new album out on Elektra this summer, plus 3 pevious on Geffen. They're different that's for sure. A good idea of their style is found on the HOB video on their site at remyzero.com. It's 49 minutes of an awesome live show. Cinjun the singer was actually married to Alyssa Milano for about a year unitl just recently. That's probably where any of you might have heard them. - --Geoff PGT2 ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 17 Apr 2001 09:43:13 -0400 From: SSpadowsky@netscape.net Subject: Re: fucking NPR- Ravers=drugs?? I think the important thing to realize is that even though there are a lot of straight edgers, you have to agree that a large amount of people at raves do drugs. I don't think there's anything wrong with that, but it's getting annoying when people respond to a broad generalizations with "Not me! I'm one example!" I don't think so! I completely agree. MTV and every major news network from coast to coast seems to believe the bull shit that every one at raves does ecstacy. There was a special on around my area on the news and it said that "signs of raves" were glow sticks, pacifiers, beaded jewelry and hair dye. They actually said that kids who dye their hair with "brands like manic panic" are most likely drug users!! How much bull shit is that?? I am straight edge as hell but I dye my hair and wear beaded jewelry and listen to rock music - Oh no! I must be an addict!! What crap! That makes me so mad. It's such a streotype. - - Amber ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 18 Apr 2001 01:21:27 From: "The Masque of the Red Death" Subject: Re: It's a POE weekend did anyone get this on tape, and want to put it up maybe on eds site? pllez? _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 17 Apr 2001 21:50:57 EDT From: WardWorthy1@aol.com Subject: Re: NPR: Very Sad News :*( ...WW1 [demime 0.97c removed an attachment of type application/octet-stream which had a name of JRRIP.BMP] ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 17 Apr 2001 18:59:35 -0700 (PDT) From: Gabrielle Wootton Subject: Re: Say Hi If You Want !!! My obsessions have been as follows: (keep in mind i'm only 16...) these are in no order... Bush Cake Garbage Poe (my most enduring musical obsession...) Dropkick Murphys Rancid Limp Bizkit (this was before sig. other ever came out) Nirvana (that was a big one) Nofx Huffamoose (has anyone heard of them? this was like 97-98) Now I'm into a variety of punk bands (dropkick murphys, the clash, sex pistols, fifteen, mustard plug, rancid, op ivy, refused, etc. etc. etc. and i've started getting into techno type stuff like happy hardcore and moby and whatnot...) My taste has been diverging lately, I've become partial to really peaceful music like moby but i've also started listening to more and more fast loud punk music again....This is like getting back into punk, i didn't listen to it as much for awhile but i've been listening to it for about 5 years. That was interesting no doubt. By the way I met Al Barr, frontman of the dropkick murphys, in a coffee house in deep ellum in dallas. It was neat. I also met a couple other of the dropkick murphys. much fun. Well that's all. I forget who's from dallas. That's where I live. I'm going to be in illinois and san francisco and austin in the next few weeks though. much fun. Well I'm finished. -Gabrielle Yahoo!
