Well, well, looks like I started quite an interesting tirade about Ms. Spears here...Kristy? said: << i dont know why i felt the need to reply this, probably because britney spears stands for everything i loathe, basically because she has no talent, creativity (like our goddess POE does!) fuck, britney can't even preform by using her own self expression! she needs fricken back up dancers and choreographers that make up things for her to do because she is too feeble minded to use any of her own creativy, which i bet she has none of. And of course everyone knows what a bad influence she is having on the youth of today, telling them that by having large breasts and a pretty face is all you need to woo over the people of America. Arg, down with britney, christina, and whoever else is trying to impress society with fleeting beauty rather than raw talent! >> Now, now, I don't think we should be getting our panties in a bunch about miss britney. fact is no, she doesn't write her own music but she admits to that. She is a *performer* and rightly so, I think she's a damn fine one. She's already buddied up to Madonna and I think it's glaringly obvious why-Madonna was once a Britney herself. Didn't write her own songs, make her own image, create her own choreography, etc. But look at her now. She's a business woman, mother of 2, wife, actress, song writer, guitar player...I could go on and on. But Madonna had to start *somewhere* and I think she recognizes Britney for that and is trying to coach her along. Now, notice Madonna hasn't done anything for miss Christina, who for some reason I just can't like, although she does have an amazing voice...there's just something about her whole appearance that wreaks of unnatural...and granted, Britney is quite, um, "proportional" shall we say and whether she got implants or not is neither here nor there....Britney does have talent but morever, she has spunk, something that most of the other teen queens are lacking. She dances like a dream and her songs hold a lot more chutzpah than christina (seriously, listen to a song like "stronger" and don't tell me you don't feel empowered in some way!) But she's just getting warmed up, I think we all need to recognize that. And there's really no point in spreading negativity, really, about others in the music business, esp. since I consider Britney to be a damn hard working woman... As far as her image...she's 19 now. She wants to break free of her teen pop image and move on...it might be hard but remember, Madonna did it (anyone remember like a virgin??) and it will pass. Britney just wants to be herself now and she's not gonna dance around in any more catholic school girl uniforms to prove that.... *phewww* well, i really don't want to cause an arguement but I just thought I'd be in my 2 cents....hope you all understand! The only reason for these designs was that we needed some new ones for screen printing because the one already up at cafepress.com has hundreds of colors in it. If you want to see the design at cafepress, go to http://www.cafepress.com/psychowear but don't buy it yet, it is still mired down in legal problems out the wazoo. Cafepress doesn't do screen printing, they do iron on transfers, which are less durable, but are printed with an inkjet printer and can have full color. I totally have to agree w/ that email... I HATE Britney. She has no talent, no brains, no staying power, no potential, no *real* boobs, no originality... Yes, when I was younger I liked Tiffany and Debbie Gibson, but when you're young and impressionable, it's bound to happen. However, neither one of them put themselves out there like Britney and Christina do... they were good and wholesome. They were true teen idols, good rolemodels, and they both in fact had some wrting abilty and produced some of their own stuff. They had some real talent and and still trying to make it. (Side note: Tiffany's newest album was actually pretty cool.) But as for Miss Spears and Miss Agulara (sp?) they shake their bon-bons and boobs entirely too much. How can anyone take them seriously? They both seem like airheads in interviews and you can tell they are both very stuck up...unlike Poe, who is gracious with her fans and very genuine in public. Well, that was my rant... just had to respond.
