Two of these times, I had my Haunted CD with me, so I stuck in in the boombox that goes over the PA. The first time, things went good. Tommy knew it was my CD because I'm known as the eccentric. (The second time, they made me shut it off when it got to the slower songs, because thats dangerous around 4am.) But here's the catch -- Tommy said to me today, "Hey, I heard that chick you like on the radio today -- Poe? I think thats who it is. WLIR. 'Hey Baby' or something." I gave him my 'you are soooo stupid' sigh. "Hey Pretty." "Yeah, thats it. See, I'm hip with all this." Poor Oleander. Hope they like TX, because they've been basically been circulating thru the state over and over for the pass months like a tornado that can't seem to find its way out! Of course, something keeps going wrong and I miss them when they come somewhere convenient for me. Same with Fuel, (who they seem to be with at each of these TX dates.) God just doesn't want me to see my bands, I'm afraid! (Please everyone. Pray that nothing bad happens and I don't, say, fall down an elevator shaft hours before the mb20 show next week. : ) KORi ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 5 Apr 2001 17:59:11 EDT From: KoriG@aol.com Subject: Re: I am now from FrENCH!! CRAP >MY DISGUISE ISN"T GOOD ENOUGH!!!! Well, ya gotta mix up the accents. Can't stick with one for too long. Believe me, after you've answered phones consistently for just a short amount of time, you pick up on these things. I used to answer request calls when I worked in radio, and then later "worked" making request calls for, um, "friends", so I know of what I speak here. We just need to get a varied group of people calling, both sexes, various voices and accents, etc. There may be a certain target audience in a given market, but I think just the raw data is what really matters in this case. Keep up the great work Sandra, and people in the LA area, please! try to help the girl out with phone calls. She's working her butt off here! I could print the shirts here, then maybe recruit some help (MIKE!!! DEAN!! ANYONE!!) to help get these distributed. I know that part of the bonus with the t's already in progress is that they handle the sales. it would, however, be cool to cut out some of the mark-ups by handling this directly. I welcome your suggestions!! you can take a look at the design here: http://hometown.aol.com/peaceofpiedesign/APTEE.html now keep in mind, it is simple, i did it pretty quickly, but we can revise as needed! And of course everyone knows what a bad influence she is having on the youth of today, telling them that by having large breasts and a pretty face is all you need to woo over the people of America. Arg, down with britney, christina, and whoever else is trying to impress society with fleeting beauty rather than raw talent!
