There IS a specific tour in the works, but nothing is signed yet so it cannot be announced. It would start much EARLIER then this. There will also be a couple of festival shows that will be announced in the next week or so. This information verified with Fishkin tonight. One thing I CAN tell you that IS good news, and verified, is that one of the dress rehearsals for the show will be a private evening with Poe for APs ONLY! This is one of the reasons for the delay in the WCAP meet and greet, I think you will agree a concert too would make it a worthwhile reason to wait a BIT! ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 1 Apr 2001 03:37:30 EDT From: EXej@aol.com Subject: Re: PR: Big News.... Not only does the movie include lyrics like, "I'm a punk rock prom queen", but in all of the pictures I have seen of the movie, NONE of the actresses are even remotely CLOSE to acting as if they are playing a guitar. It's just like all of those models that you see in teen magazines who are dressed to be "rock stars" and are supposed to look intimidating but fail miserably and just look like Mandy Moore in her little "punk rocker" shirts. Being a fan of the cartoon, it's really pissing me off that the "actresses" they got to portray those o so lovable mystery solvers aren't doing a good job at all. It took me forever to see the movie "that thing you do" and one of the main reasons I liked it was because all the actors had to learn how to play their own instruments (whatever that happened to be). Granted they only had to learn one song, they still played it good and didn't look like dumbasses holding a strange foreign object that they're afraid they're going to break if they move their hand. But because of my love for the cartoon I'm going to go see the movie and it better be damn good and accurate or I'll be raising hell for at least a week =o}.
