Records in My Head is on Break Up at the Rock Show. I know it is not available at Amazon because Lesley won't get off her butt and send it to them. If you can't find it at one of your local indie shops and aren't in the Bay Area, I could pick you up a copy at either Amoeba when I'm there next or at the end of the month when they play at the Paradise Lounge here in SF. You might also be able to wait a couple of months because they are supposed to be picked up by a major, but who knows. Also if you like GM9, check out Simon Stinger or Storm Inc.(previously Storm and Her Dirty Mouth). It's pretty damn good, I like it. It veers off into all these crazy areas of study. There's one part all about echoes and the science of sound, and I've already read passages in Greek and German and Latin. It's craziness! And it's also really scary. I was reading last night, and when I finally turned off the light at about 3:30 AM, I was scared of the dark. I had to huddle under my covers and think pretty thoughts in order to fall asleep. Okay, I have never introduced myself. I don't really know how. All of those "Now that you are an Angry Psycho..." questions, where do they come from? What makes one an Angry Psycho, officially? Simply being a fan of Poe? By the way, I read everyone's posts, even the off-topic ones, and I have to compliment all of you. I like you, you're smart. And I think that speaks well of Poe, that she has smart fans. Alrighty. Any advice as to my Angry Psycho ambivalence would be appreciated! I love you all. Peace the fugg out! DALnet's MassAds Prevention Team estimates that over half of the unsolicited mass advertising that occurs on DALnet's network is related to some form of pornography. DALnet's Massads Prevention Team and K-Line Registry has collected over 5,000 instances of mass messaging and inviting in a two month period from America Online users. DALnet has made numerous attempts to open a dialogue with AOL regarding the continued abuse and policy violations from it's users, but has yet to receive a response. To stop the abuse, DALnet was forced to block all users of AOL from it's network. "DALnet looks for every possible avenue for stopping this kind of abuse before banning entire domains. Unfortunately, in this case, we were left no choice", said DALnet's K-Line Registry Director Joe Eversole. "The indifferent attitude of AOL has caused all of its users to suffer." DALnet is a volunteer organization that offers free services to its users. "Spammers" use it's network to bombard users with their advertisements, similar to advertising via e-mail. An IRC (Internet Relay Chat) network relies on domain names (like aol.com) to block access to users. In an environment like America Online, once a user is banned from the network, he just needs to redial to bypass the ban. In instances when the offender repeatedly bypasses the ban, the IRC network relies on the ISP to contact the user and enforce their no-advertising policy. America Online has not enforced their Terms of Service in this regard. DALnet will continue to contact AOL in hopes of discussing these abuses and resolve the situation. We look forward to inviting AOL's users back to our service. About The DALnet IRC Network Founded in 1994, DALnet pioneered nickname and channel registration services allowing users to maintain their chat rooms and identities even after logging out. In December 2000, DALnet became the first to hold over 80,000 concurrent chat clients, making it the largest IRC Network in the world. Today, the network handles over 2 million daily connections and supports a userbase of more than 500,000 registered users. DALnet also offers free e-mail accounts as well as webpages for users and their channels. Staffed by nearly 200 volunteers and receiving no revenue, the network relies on the generosity of its supporting ISPs to provide the bandwidth it uses. DALnet's website is located at http://www.dal.net and can be reached via an IRC client at irc.dal.net on port 7000.
